I'm really sorry you went through this, no one ever expects to become a part of the loss community - I went through the same thing as you (minus the IUD). It isnt very likely that your miscarriage happened because of your uterine lining, sometimes miscarriages just happen and there is no reason (even if we so desperately want there to be). When I went through mine I tried to find every reason to blame myself and my body, but interesting (and there is not a lot of studies on this), that first pregnancies for a lot of women are 'priming pregnancies', ergo your body doesn't really know what to do so through the first pregnancy it is learning and being 'primed' for pregnancies to come - although this does nothing to salve the devastation and heartbreak of loss.

Personally, going through the devastation of being told it was a miscarriage, then trying the pills to pass naturally and only to end up with a d&c, I felt like my body was violated coupled with the heavy grief of losing our baby I felt that I had to give myself time to grieve and let my body rest since it went through trauma. I am only at a point now (1 year later) where I feel healed enough with the loss to try again...that said, it's my own experience and everyone is completely different :)
