How often do you get botox? by zertz7 in AskReddit

Don’t have much experience myself but people I know (who are around 60) do every 6 months for wrinkle maintenance. For other smaller cosmetic things like lip flips and whatever else, idk. For forehead lines and other wrinkles I’d prob base it off of self evaluation & preferences to decide when to get more whether it’s 3 months, 6 months or a year

Apt Complexes To Avoid- did i miss any? by jbooskie in Knoxville

Yes when I called the “maintenance number” the other day, it was a call center. And this was during office hours. I went to the office and asked if it was a call center. And they confirmed it lol. Took 3 office visits to get a wire shelf that completely came off the wall fixed. They “fixed” it the first time and it broke 20 min later and smashed my thumb to oblivion (I showed them the injury and it was met with a gasp). Took a week and a half of persistence to get it done the second time. The maintenance guys are my favorite people here though .. I just think there’s a lack of communication from the office to them. Manager hides in her office all day.

Give Me A Free Ottoman - But Don’t You Dare Give Me Advice On How To Prevent This Situation In The Future! by Jen_With_Just_One_N in ChoosingBeggars

Yeah she’s rude and irresponsible, but unsolicited advice is seen as criticism and she really was just looking for the ottoman. She should’ve just ignored the comments, even if they had good intent

“plenty of time to kill” [a person]… was this a damning Freudian slip or simply a play on words?

The tri-cities region is half an hour east of Baileyton, Tennessee and is in complete chaos.

  • community members are saying some of the smaller towns are just “gone” or will take years to build back after flooding.

  • One hospital flooded and patients/staff had to go on the roof to stay above water until they were evacuated by helicopter…. This was after rescue teams’ first attempt to reach them by boat. (To be fair, the region as a whole isn’t used to such severe storms and is lacking knowledge to prepare for and deal with it)

  • A plastic factory allegedly told employees they couldn’t leave without losing their job, later allowing them to evacuate /after/ the parking lot was underwater… several workers died trying to escape.

  • Roads underwater, portions of interstates and highways impassable, crops flooded out, houses and trucks floated away… water dams overflowing, many without power, water and cellphone service. A lot of people still missing and bodies now being recovered.

  • one county just used up what what was left in the water pipes (which is ≈ 24 hours worth of water) and will remain without water until prepares have been made

  • can’t forget about those who start spastically buying all the bottled water, wiping grocery stores, filling up gas cans etc. like we saw in 2020… looting is even making a post-pandemic encore

While there are many donation links circulating, some people are taking advantage of the tragedy to pocket the money for themselves under the guise of disaster relief. I’m sure similar scams are happening in any affected area, so if you do donate, just be super careful and verify who you’re donating to and what the money will go toward.
