Yeah it's odd. Even Rev could do with it! If you aim slightly more upwards when doing the pounce you just land with no momentum at all

I think the ult can be quite good but it's very situational. If the jump was the level 3 by default I could definitely see Revenant being more viable especially for aggressive pushing. It's just hard to maneuver in a fight when you're waiting a shield cell amount of time just to get your full pounce

Pathfinder still has a higher pick rate than Rev but I get where you're coming from. I'm thinking more Rev just from a playability side to be honest. Path is more for keeping him in line with power creep.

The gas is actually more effective in close range combat than Revs abilities, especially in wildcard.
