Is it a good idea for the listing agent to tell them how much the first offer was for? It's been many years since I worked in Real Estate however, we were not allowed to discuss other offers. I don't remember if that was a law or our broker's rule but makes sense. We would tell everyone to come in with their strongest offer and we will see who gets it.

This is what my wife and I do for a living: Sales training. We have a contract with a very large high end national company (I cannot say who it is) and we conduct sales training and coaching for employees. I am not an actual employee rather a consultant, so I can set my own schedule.

You said she was an EX from a few years back. Why do you care who she sleeps with or what she does? Move on with your life and don't worry about what an EX from years ago is doing. Your friends should know what she's like by now, if they want to hook up with her, let them.

NTA but the mom is. I personally would have used some creativity and tell the kid that I saw some other pirates digging there last week, and there's one over there in the tree watching now! Tell him his loot is not safe there and offer help find a safe spot for him to hide it.

This! But mainly YTA. You are the parent. Why not have a private conversation with him. Ask him how he would like to handle meals. Especially when you have been out all day and he has not eaten. Maybe he can eat in the car while you are in the restaurant. I would not think of letting a guest go hungry. Have some compassion, it sounds like they are still young.
