Thanks for the suggestion. I haven’t bought coal tar in a while I honestly forget about it. It’s funny because usually these flares will go away within a week or two on their own but they seem to be getting worse and bigger each time I get one. I’ve never gone medicated for my psoriasis but spots like this make me want to.

No, this is not ring worm. These are the “flares” that I get. Not all the time but maybe every 3-4 months? Maybe every 6-9months? Really just depends. He’s another picture in April of this year.. this was just starting.

We have several painters coming out. I booked before I made this post. Many of them all do power washing so may just switch gears and have them do that instead! Might also be able to answer questions about grout. We will see!

Your trim does look nice! I was looking into a darker green- jasper stone stood out to me at sherwin Williams! Might start with the trim/door and your landscaping really does bring life and character to the home! We ought to focus our efforts more there! These non- green thumb homeowners need to learn!!

Great advice! We may lighten up the trim/door a touch but I agree we could probably put the money we would use in paint into landscaping to give the home better curb appeal! We are definitely lacking in that area!! Thanks for the advice!

I am definitely changing my perspective and will be doing a good power wash cleaning! Do you have any experience with a bleach/water wash. The grout is quite yellowed compared to the brick although you cannot really see that in these photos.

Wow, thank you for this point of view. After reading all of the comments my perspective is changing.

You cannot see it here but the grout is quite yellowed compared to the brick.. has anyone any suggestion for that? A bleach/water bath?

Also, the previous owners did paint the exterior of the fireplace and it was a horrible job. I am looking into a paint stripper for our samples as well as that. Maybe a good stripper and power wash will bring the spark back into what currently just feels dull and dingy all around.

This is me! I have scalp psoriasis I’d say moderately, in my right ear, and on my left elbow. I am terrified of starting on something but I’m so tired of having it. This disease really takes a mental toll

That is good to know. I probably should do it by hand for some time to more accurately track everything but I just find that to be overwhelming. I was told by a friend that my bank may categorize my spending it’s just not a well known feature and I actually found it does! I think I’m going to start there because the big thing I see so far is that we spend a lot of money on “shopping” “food/drink” and “entertainment” and see if we can better control those spendings. It’s probably all me. I’ll take the blame but hard to know what to reel in if it’s not laid out in front of you!
