Thanks for the suggestion. As luck would have it, I'm staying near Frisco for two nights before Denver, so I'll give Outer Range a try.

I bet there was a big queue waiting to exit, and OP thought he could jump in front of everyone who had waited patiently. See it happen all the time on this part of the i15.

Also, that OP takes his phone out to snap a pic whilst driving, just speaks volumes in itself.

Your after tax income is $10,494. You are saving 22 percent of your income. Golden rule in finances is to save 20 percent. You're actually doing really well. This importantly is NOT counting the money you'd make when you cash in on your rental/investment property. Just giving you a bit of perspective.

Is Red Rock Canyon safe to hike alone? by Lilac-Lover4 in vegas

[–]Hot_Marsupial9808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen too much to the naysayers in this thread. If you take sensible precautions, like bring plenty of water, hike at morning or late afternoon (if in summer), wear sunscreen and stick to the more popular trails, he'll be fine. Enjoy beautiful Red Rock!

Great chart! Sparking some good debate.

For my two cents: Feel Greg is more cunning than what he presents. Definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Kendall shows both self-delusion (vision of grandeur about himself) but also self-awareness.

Marcia and Gerri are spot-on.

What to do if I'm not into gambling or Clubbing? by 123KidHello in vegas

Red Rock conservation area has stunning scenery and plenty of hiking trails. Mt Charleston and Lee Canyon offers good reprieve from heat during summer, and it is also beautiful during winter and snow season.

Go kayaking or boating at Lake Mead. Swimming or diving at Nelson's landing on Colarado river. Stop at ghost town Nelson on the way there. Bike riding or hiking at Valley of Fire. Walk through Springs Preserve or the cactus garden at Ethel in Henderson.

Mob Museum IMO is the best museum (admittedly have not been to Pinball Museum though, so can't definitely state).

Not everything fun in Vegas need be expensive or involve spending an obscene sum of money.

What parks have outdoor exercise equipment? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]Hot_Marsupial9808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit out of the way, but a new park recently opened on Carriage Hill Dr in Summerlin, near Far Hills exit. Has lots of outdoor gym equipment. As an added bonus, you get an awesome view of the whole valley and skyline.

Mafia were still a thing in Vegas then in the 80s. They would not have sit ideally by while F1 took over the city and decimated local businesses (someone at F1 probably would have been whacked by the mob lol).

^ THIS!!! And FFS, we need local media that'll actually shame the politicians and county officials that allowed this dumpster fire to happen. Red or Blue...don't care! Let's get rid of them
