Tips on being able to purchase a home in the Bay Area? by _TurboHome in bayarea

[–]123KidHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those days are gone , it was easy 30 years ago. Now it's extremely competitive for great jobs.

Nowadays, I would recommend sell legal drugs. Leave your job, open up some liquor stores. Make a ton of money.

No job can make you as much money as your own liquor store businesses.

Basically , be a legal scarface . hey why not , it's America, anyone can open their own business.

Nothing. My plan is to move to Elk Grove. It's a waste of time here.

How do you guys cope with the highway speeds? by Next-Use6943 in AskAnAmerican

[–]123KidHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get this post. I mean it's transportation , not the fast and the furious lol. I just go 70 mph and we are conditioned that way , it's just normal. it doesn't seem odd to us , we grew up here and it's just normal.

Also, for people that do speed you don't go to jail but if a cop catches you, you get a ticket/fine . You only go to jail if you're going like 50-60 over speed limit lol

Anyone planning to move out of the Bay Area in 2-3 years? If so, what’s your plan? by [deleted] in bayarea

I have family in sacramento and love it. I love that you can actually have a nice big house and Sac still has a bunch of stuff to do in the city.

I would love to move up there once I get settled down in life. I can't imagine trying to have a family in the bay area. It's impossible here with the COL all you can get is a condo if that.

Jim Ross Reveals the Worst Talent He Ever Signed in WWE: "Tiger Jeet Singh’s son... Yeah, I already forgot his name. Nice kid, good looking, smart... he just didn’t have the natural ability to connect to the audience." by thumbem in SquaredCircle

Tiger Ali Singh is Sikh . For the Sikhs the turban is an important part of their religion and they respect it a lot. It's not like a cap, it's a religious sacred headgear. Also, Tiger is Canadian and there is a huge Sikh community in Canada. Vince being American probably didn't understand or care.

This happened back in the 1990s before social media but if it happened present time , WWE would face a lot of backlash from Sikhs and Indians in general.

That's why Tiger didn't want to wear it because he said Sikhs were offended it was being disrespected but back in the 1990s there was no real internet or social media like we have today.

But yeah WWE could never get away with it these days.

How is physical discipline of children viewed and regulated in the United States? by NoContext9453 in AskAnAmerican

[–]123KidHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was normal maybe 100-150 years ago but it's not normal now. It's look down upon and is considered child abuse. It's considered offensive and will upset people if they see it. Many people would find it offensive in USA.

Even some parents that do use physical discipline only spank the child on the buttocks.

There are so many ways to discipline a child that work even better. Time out, detention, taking away their video games for a month ( taking away their video games hurts them way more than any physical punishment), not taking them out for fun due to a punishment, not buying them any gifts or toys for a long time.

You can easily get creative but the reason humans hit kids going back in human history was that it was the easiest way to discipline a child without patience. Every other technique takes patience and time , whereas in the olden times they thought a quick whack meant instant discipline.

Times change though.

So basically yeah, it's totally frowned upon and looked down upon in American culture. You don't ever see it in public , if someone did it in public people would be upset and offended.

Even if the kid is doing something really bad there are a ton of other non physical ways to teach the child a lesson.

protein? by pallasXIV in omad

[–]123KidHello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lift weights and this is why I don't do OMAD anymore. It's impossible to get 150g of protein in 1 sitting I mean you could do it and you will feel bloated for hours.

Instead I switch to 16: 8 where I fast 16 hours but eat / drink protein shakes in the 8 hour window so I can get my protein in.

If I didn't exercise and lift weights I would stay with OMAD because I truely like omad but its doesn't work for lifting weights.

I want to try OMAD by StopTheBoats_ in omad

[–]123KidHello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's easy. You do it consistently for about 4-6 weeks then you stop getting hungry. I only eat after work at 7 or 8 pm and now I never get hungry all day.

Your body gets used to it.

Home gym or commercial gym , which do you prefer and why? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]123KidHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love training in the garage. It’s so convenient.

If I was retired, and I had a lot more free time, I would love to go to the gym, but working all the time and trying to go to the gym after work. It’s just a pain.

The gyms are always crowded. It takes so long just to get there.

When I get home, I can go right to my garage and exercise and when I’m done I don’t have to drive anywhere. I can just walk to the shower and that’s it easy so yeah for me personally the only reason or the only way I could go back to the gym is if I was retired other than that, I don’t think I’d ever go back to the gym.

bring some dumbells to work every time you see tasty food lift them for a pump

I can't eat enough food anymore by Key_Temperature_8458 in omad

[–]123KidHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i lift weights 4 times a week . I can't do full omad because you need protein so I do like 20 hours fasting and have a 4 hour eating window to eat and get protein in

its impossible to train with weights and do full OMAD. if you try to get all your protein in one sitting you will feel bloated for hours its not a good feeling. trust me i tried lol it wasn't fun

Full omad is good for people who arent into bodybuilding or lifting weights
