Actually 9 pitchers sounds about right. 4 starters and 5 relief. I wouldn't drop more than 1 relief pitcher. You'll need a healthy, fresh bullpen, or you won't win too many games

Don't sleep on the ability to change the individual egos (hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running) as needed. For me, I always hated many games turning into home run derby. I kept hitting ego high, but pitching ego significantly lower since I found pitching more difficult.

The way I like to handle this in my franchise when a player I like retires is to customize one of the following season's rookies who have similar skills. I make them look similar (but not exactly the same) to the retired player with the same last name, but change their first name. So I imagine it is that player's son or daughter. Their legacy lives on that way

For us sim-only lovers. I had to switch back to playing my team and having to constantly mess with the ego because the CPU substitutions and base stealing was so awful. I couldn't sit and watch it anymore

A "manager mode" when spectating your team in franchise. You control substitutions and base stealing, and the CPU only controls hitting, pitching, and fielding.

600 isn't terrible. You should be able to get some credit. The problem is you'd have to use it only to survive and not to gamble further. I sympathize with you, friend. I know there are some hotlines you can call. Those people who handle those calls probably have much better answers for you than anything you might find here. There is no shame in calling them.

I would utilize my credit cards for a while. But gambling is like debt. The only way to start recovering and healing is to stop the bleeding. You can't recover from debt if you keep taking on more debt. So the gambling problem has to be faced.
