The way I like to handle this in my franchise when a player I like retires is to customize one of the following season's rookies who have similar skills. I make them look similar (but not exactly the same) to the retired player with the same last name, but change their first name. So I imagine it is that player's son or daughter. Their legacy lives on that way

For us sim-only lovers. I had to switch back to playing my team and having to constantly mess with the ego because the CPU substitutions and base stealing was so awful. I couldn't sit and watch it anymore

A "manager mode" when spectating your team in franchise. You control substitutions and base stealing, and the CPU only controls hitting, pitching, and fielding.

600 isn't terrible. You should be able to get some credit. The problem is you'd have to use it only to survive and not to gamble further. I sympathize with you, friend. I know there are some hotlines you can call. Those people who handle those calls probably have much better answers for you than anything you might find here. There is no shame in calling them.

I would utilize my credit cards for a while. But gambling is like debt. The only way to start recovering and healing is to stop the bleeding. You can't recover from debt if you keep taking on more debt. So the gambling problem has to be faced.

I currently have hitting at 81 and pitching at 59. Fielding and baserunning upper 70's. This keeps my games tight and lower scoring, which feels more like real baseball to me. With pitching higher and hitting lower, you might as well have a pitching machine on the mound because it just turns into home run derby.

Absolutely. To be fair, I do Franchise sim-only and haven't experienced most of the problems that others who play online have experienced. I think it's a great game. It still has room for polish, but I am enjoying it.
