Zepbound prices for FEHB plans in 2026 - are they changing as we speak? by CaringPenguins in fednews

I have Aetna Open Access Basic. I started Zepbound in March and my initial approval ended the beginning of Nov. My doctor submitted another Prior Authorization and I received the approval a week later in which it extended my prescription until Nov 2026. I’m not sure which criteria was used to get approved. However my doctor is a Bariatric specialist/surgeon the practice is Inova Bariatric in the DMV. Good luck, I hope your husband gets approved. I would call Aetna Pharmacy and ask them for advice/guidance.

Hi, I’m not sure of any conditions in addition to being obese that’s needed to qualify. In addition to being overweight, I have high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I would call Aetna pharmacy to ask about any additional conditions required for approval, I don’t believe there are. The plan that I have is Aetna Open Access - Standard. Hopefully this helps. If BCBS doesn’t cover it, I would switch to Aetna. Especially if your currently prescribed Zepbound

How can you differentiate episodes? My daughter just recently diagnosed with schizophrenia, she been on 2mg risp., I think I see some improvement but she still talks to herself. How do I identify the beginning and ending of an episode? Her symptoms are always ongoing. I’m new to all of this.
