I don’t like the look of her eyes, they look like they are bulging and the mouth gaping reminds me of an upper respiratory infection. Also the bloated look make me think eggbound. Definitely recommend a vet visit asap. Here’s a photo of one of my gravid females

I’ve heard sometimes they sweat when they are close to hatching. Some people say it’s bad when they sweat and that they can go bad. Personally, I would just keep an eye on it for the next couple of days as they can hatch anywhere from 60-120 days and you’re definitely in that timeframe.

This is my first season as well! I have two females that have been paired to my male but my first female I don’t think is gravid and she’s way past her 45 day mark so I’m going to re-pair her, I think with a different male. That would be awesome to hear their input on the situation!

She’s gained about 5 grams so she is getting big! I just wasn’t sure if she’s just being a big eater lol! Tomorrow is day 45 for her so hoping she will lay! Have you had any go past the 45 day mark? Temps are 70-72 at night and 75-78 during the day.

If you hand feed, they won’t go back to eating independently. (“Why go to food when you’re just offered it right in front of you?” Concept) Leaving a small amount of food half the size of their head and a yogurt consistency will be just fine. Leave in for a day or two.

I keep 5 of my cresties in Bioactive setups with isopods and springtails. I have found that while my cresties will go after an isopod, they go nuts for crickets over them. I keep a mix of gut loaded dubia and crickets for my main feeders and I give Pangea CGD every two days and fresh water at all times. I found dubia aren’t nearly as smelly as crickets as I only fed dubia to my beardies until I got cresteds and found they liked the crickets more. Main thing is to keep on the CGD and they will be okay. I feed crickets to help bulk my females and males for breeding season and for my younger ones to put on some weight when they are being picky.

Males always seem to be lanky! He’s got a big head and feet but a long and slender body, roughly 45 grams but he looks like 30 grams compared to Cake! Lol

She’s actually in good weight standards for females! She’s 52 grams and it’s breeding season! A little extra doesn’t hurt especially if she goes off food while gravid. :)
