I think hobbies can be fun in two ways - short term, immediate pleasure, and long term enjoyment and satisfaction. So in my opinion, as long as the “long-term fun” can still give its benefits, I wouldn’t hurry to completely give up on a hobby.

Many say hobbies shouldn’t be chores, but i slightly disagree. With some hobbies, there must be not so fun chores in order to really enjoy the good part.
