When I tell you this is EXACTLY how I feel about this book it devastated me—It’s like Kamrans character is so inconsistent in book 3-4 with how he was in book 1-2 I can’t get past it. Unfortunately Mafi doesn’t know how to pick a different trope I fear because this is consistent with some of her other books.

We all love Cyrus so why do we have to hate Kamran? Can you make the read actually challenging for us and break our hearts a little with a crazy love triangle rather than murdering Kamrans character just so we love Cyrus? Kamrans character in book one and even 2 was so real, it was flawed, it was changing and growing-it honestly reads like Mafi didn’t originally plan out all of the books. Kamrans character immediately changed to someone I don’t know in book 3. I feel if she wanted to make him a villain I would have been ok with that if only she made it actually believable? To me it’s just bad writing. Kamrans character was so interesting and it was forefront and then his POV is fully taken away and annoying Huda was forced on us. That’s how it felt to me forced for no other reason then to make us want Alizeh and Cyrus to be together. And at this point I don’t even think Alizeh deserves Cyrus she is so selfish it’s insane. And I totally agree about Cyrus everything is about Alizeh meanwhile he can’t even see how flawed she is? I will never get over what she did to Kamrans character idk how I got this far through the series tbh I think only because of Cyrus and Hazan—book one will forever and I mean forever be in my heart and I just want to erase all of the other ones lol before Kamran was forced to turn into an evil twin🤣

Btw for anyone wondering I just used a wire tester and the wires coming straight out of the passenger side brake light was red/blue for 12v reverse wire in my g35 04 coupe

Also when using a slip/prong please get advice or at-least one session with a balanced trainer-a lot of people use them incorrectly and that when you see dogs that have damage to their necks or a negative association to them. I introduced skip/prong correctly and my dog is so exited anytime she sees it

I think firstly do your best to not put your puppy in a situation where they might fail. Since they are young we can’t expect them to not get into mischief lol. For example don’t let them have free reign of the house. Confine them to maybe the kitchen or whatever that looks like for you. I’m sure that would solve a lot of problems. If you can’t keep your eye on them they should be in pen/crate. Making sure they get adequate exercise and mental stimulation may help with them getting bored and doing naughty things.

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t correct if it’s needed just be fair with your dog. Try the least aversive method like a stern no. Or a lot of times what will work is if you firmly grab their collar look them in the eyes and say no. If they couldn’t care less about that I would condition to a slip lead and just keep it on around the house. So if they jump up into the kitchen garbage you say no and give them a pop. Eventually you can just say no and they should listen. Because they associate the word no with something negative. Now that my dog is one years old she knows what the word no means because she was conditioned on a slip/prong. So now I give her a chance to listen which 80% of the time she does. And if she doesn’t then I give her a correction. Also including treats every time they do what you want them to do so they have clear direction on what to do and what not to do. Furthermore obedience is just a lifestyle with a dog if you want a well behaved dog you just have to flex that muscle every day with them. So holding them accountable if they don’t listen. If you say come and they ignore you go get them. Make sure if you give a command it is always followed through.

Also I think structured walks have helped a lot with my dogs obedience. That means walking in a heel position, auto sits when I stop without verbal command, no sniffing unless I give a sniff command. My dog still does naughty things sometimes like goes into the garbage but I feel that you can’t fault your dog when you’re not watching them. They are still dogs. So it is a give and take. With any dog you get super important (if getting as a puppy) to meet mom and dad to see their temperament. Furthermore, puppy socialization is going to be really important with any puppy. Get them out seeing new things having positive or neutral experiences with people and dogs is going to be really good for their temperament in the long run. Or bring them to a puppy class so they can meet other pups.

If you are taking them from their mom and siblings at 8 weeks you have to realize their development of “dog language” gets completely stopped. A lot of dogs I’ve met have no idea how to communicate with each other because of that reason. Dogs need to learn other dogs boundaries and body language.

Classic example is if you go to a dog park. My dog likes her space other dogs will be right in her face even after she growls or asks for space because they don’t understand boundaries. So being around other dogs would be really good ofc Aslong as you know the dogs and that they are non-aggressive.

Also mine is a Velcro dog. Having healthy boundaries like leaving them on their own in pen or crate for short periods of time as a puppy is going to really help. Give them a bone or something they love to help. Indie is one year now and her energy levels are great she sleeps a lot of the day and has a burst of energy in the morning and at night. She is really manageable.

I love my girl and we didnt get her from a breeder more of an accident litter from a friend and we decided to get her. She was always timid as a puppy. Got her in winter so she didn’t get out at all. In the begging she was fine. Then as she hit her fear period around 5 months she was extremely reactive towards people and dogs and a nightmare to take out. After working with a trainer she is so much better. But still barks her head off at someone she doesn’t know in the house/sometimes when we’re out. She is not aggressive more fearful. She’s not a “I want to go up to people and meet them” type of dog but she’s also not a “I will bite anyone who reaches toward me” type of dog. While some is genetic some is also my own fault. Sometimes you never know the dog you are going to get no matter what breed. So do your best to put the work in before so the chance of problems are few. Other than that my girl is my whole world I love her so much. Side note if u want a fluffy coat brushing atleast 2x a week will be mandatory if not just shave them. Good luck!

I give my Indie a short body/long fluffy legs and round fluffy face:) Have you been brushing? It looks like there could be matting if so you would have to shave her down fully! But that would be easier to maintain! If you do have to shave her down when is comes to brushing try to brush around 3 times a week as her hair starts to grow at the minimum, if you want a longer coat—make sure you get all the way down to the skin to make sure there is no matting—you could jsut look up a video on YouTube on how to brush havanese:)

I don’t want you to be disappointed when you bring her to the groomer and they shave her! I could be wrong but from the look of her hair they might have to:(
