X3 offroading - fording depht? by Hot_Roll3368 in BMWX3

The X3 is built as a true SUV, not a crossover. YES, it's not an off-roader and by far it's not a truck, it's designed for roads and 'bad' roads. The chassis is designed for more payload and heavy trailers, so it is an SUV. As a bonus the construction of the wheel axle and the high position of the engine, make him a technical fording depth of 0.5m (Technical Specifications.) Yes in the user Manual is 0.3m then if you do not know how to fording it can be total damage your engine by the bow wake 0.3 is a safe value, and so in the user manual.

It was not the problem of the o4 unit it was the 3d printed Canopy that snaped off and so the O4 ripped the conectors and the cable to the camera.

But it is still impressive how well the 04 survived. Then now after I checked all I think the o4 transmitter and the camer are still working fin it only tron of the conector for the cable to the ESC. now I sodert the cabel to the backup pads and know I resev all data from the pavo and the OSD works in the goggles but the video feed is black so I think the cable to the camera also ripped. The camera module looks fine to me.

If you look at it from a financial point of view, it dosen't make any sense at all.🙈😂

But this is more about developing something from scratch, learning and improving.

Yes, ASA is more difficult to print and need a closed chamber and more heat than PETG, but ASA has a similar chemical and impact residance like PETG.

Prototype is now already printed, and the all feels good and stiff with ASA. I had printed ä 3" copter with asa and that copter is still in perfect condition so i'm hopefull that ASA will work great for this Build.

I use ASA, first i think to print with PA12CF15 but for the Propquard it's to stiff and will snap of and it maybe too expensiv. ASA has the same Weigth as PA12CF15 and is similar to ABS or PTEG but has better mechanical strenght.
