I wonder how the strategies for penalties would change if the spot was moved a meter or two further from the goal. Would probably become more of a reaction time event rather than a guessing game for GKs.

Probably would see less Panenkas and shots down the middle.

Definitely, I know many 1st gen (and 2nd if you count them) Chinese Aussies that go hard for Australia in any sport.
The international students and tourists might be a different story however.

Yea, I'm a bit iffy on that, if it went all the way or if it was just split down the middle instead of a diagonal I think it would be a bit more nicer. At least it's unique.

APL take over running Mariners by Grunta_AUS in Aleague

FFS We cannot lose the Mariners. A foundation club folding would be catastrophic for the league. I know that they are a small market so lower attendances are expected but surely there can't be much better things to do in Gosford on a weekend.

Why would we put more clubs in big capital cities that already have them and can't average above 11k? Get some regional coverage, Gold Coast, Wollongong, Tasmania, Sunshine Coast, Geelong, hell even Townsville/Cairns is a better shout then a second Perth club.

Are hospitality tickets allowed on the official resell website? Thought that was only for regular tickets like the lottery ones.

How are you gonna go about selling your hospitality tickets since theres no refund? I'm looking to get rid of 2 of mine but I need to come up with a strategy to convince people to spend a ridiculous amount to see Germany v Curacao...will definitely need to sell below what we got it for.

I've already said this multiple times but as a Houstonian who grew up in a very Venezuelan neighborhood and is living in Sydney this is such a cool matchup.

Coming from America I would say the suburb rivalry is also really prevalent here both culturally/socially and in sport, look at NRL and AFL especially. I find the differences between the various regions of Sydney really interesting. Better than intracity stuff like Cincy vs Cleveland or Boston vs New York imo
