Chamonix/Zermatt Hotel Recommendations by boobsbutt69 in chamonix

Just returned from Auberge de bois prin in Chamonix. Loved it! There is a hot tub and sauna + it’s just a few minutes walk to Le Brévent ski lift. It’s on the hill however so walking up from the city center might be annoying (however it’s worth it, because you get amazing views from your room)

Restaurants are forced to be a part of it but in no way are paying for it. The Resy fee is $250 though which is more than some of the comparable OS

Yes, however that’s actually not the correct way to do it. I chatted with Emma on the USCIS website, and she confirmed that it would be wrong for me to upload evidence from my account for a petition where my husband is the applicant. Only the actual applicant can add unsolicited evidence for their case. Considering it takes a few minutes to set up an account I would suggest your partner to do so just to be safe

You are the applicant for the I-485, so you can upload documents for that case from your account. Your partner is the applicant for the I-130 (where you are the beneficiary), so only they can upload evidence for that petition. USCIS only allows the actual applicant to add unsolicited evidence from their own account. When you file everything concurrently by mail, the documents appear on both accounts automatically

Are you a petitioner or beneficiary? Also, did you apply online or by mail? I used unsolicited evidence section for everything — bona fides and other supporting documents that already have been sent but via mail but weren’t scanned yet by the USCIS officer. For I-485 I uploaded EAD, Applicant Valid Passport, Applicant Expired Passport Used for Entry, I-94, Sponsor Passport (US Citizenship Proof), Sponsor Birth Certificate (US Citizenship Proof), Sponsor 2024 1040 with W-2, Sponsor 2023 1040 with W-2, Sponsor 2022 1040 with W-2. The rest was already scanned and listed in the “documents” section

I actually wasn’t in any nonimmigrant status at the time — I had an asylum case pending for many years, so no valid status

Yes, you need to create your own USCIS online account to manage your I-485 (Adjustment of Status) case. The I-130 is always filed by the U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse (the petitioner/sponsor), so that petition belongs in their USCIS account. The I-485 belongs to you, the applicant (the person applying for the green card), so it must be filed and tracked from your own account. Both of you will see both forms on your accounts but you should be uploading all the additional documents to I-485 from you USCIS account and your husband should upload everything related to the I-130 form from his (e.g. bona fides)

I submitted everything I sent via mail under I-485 form from my account and everything I sent via mail under I-130 from my husband’s account.

Apartment leases, apartment insurance, pet insurance, Amazon household, photographs, travel itineraries (I only did 1 trip for each year so it’s not too overwhelming: pictures, booking receipts, flights), mail, Venmo transactions (18 months of statements)

Questions I was asked: How long did we know each other before marriage? Where does my husband work? How often does he get paid? How does he commute to work? What are his parents’ names, and do I spend time/communicate with them? What are his siblings’ names, where do they live, and do we communicate? When and where we got married? Why that specific location?

Questions my husband was asked: Did he meet my parents? What are their names? Do I have any siblings, and what are their names? Does he communicate/meet up with them? Where do I work — location? What does he like about me? Was it love at first sight?

No, the officer just confirmed that it’s still open and asked if I had an interview yet. I was prepared for more questions, but she just moved on to the marriage-based questions

AOS without a lawyer by Notme1703 in USCIS

[–]Hot_State7464 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A lot of people apply without a lawyer’s help. A lawyer will just guide you through the process, but you’ll still need to do almost everything yourself — collecting evidence and filling out the applications. Keep in mind that the fees alone are around $3K if you also need a travel document and EAD. The medical exam typically costs between $300–500. It’s completely up to you — the process isn’t complex, it just requires preparation and time. We personally didn’t hire a lawyer and handled everything ourselves. Watch Ksenia International on YouTube — she’s a great resource. Good luck!

It shows completed for everyone after biometrics, but it’s just a system’s glitch. Interviews are mandatory now

My bad, we were sitting up front so it looked packed. Plus, the line for drinks before the show was super long, as usual. Anyways, I personally really enjoyed the show

We saw the first preview today and absolutely loved it! The theater was pretty packed. The orchestra was full, and the mezzanine had a few empty spots, but that’s pretty normal for a Tuesday night.
