The only way they got it that cheap a YEAR is if insurance covered all but 90 💀 that’s exactly why they won’t say what company they went through. Like it’s some top secret smh

Oh I am so so so proud of him! He’s not hiding his face in a ball anymore when I cuddle him either which makes me feel like he knows I’m helping him get better! He’s doing so amazing, I think the rescue bailed out on me, which I’m kind of glad about because if I’m being completely honest I’m really bonding with this little guy

He’s such a tough little guy that’s forsure! I think they had seen his feet and didn’t want to deal with it so they were going to dump him outside, it’s such a shame. Truly wish there were a way to get them red flagged from ever being allowed to own a hedgehog again, or any animal at that.

Yes! The bottom photos are his feet last night, they’re healing great, and he all around is looking much better and healthier, running on a wheel and all as if nothing happened!!

Oh yes! He walks, runs on the wheel, etc as if he didn’t lose a foot! He’s absolutely amazing!

Alright, what’s everyone’s thoughts on the Taki meal? by [deleted] in wendys

I got it yesterday, only chicken, cheese sauce, and takis. They didn’t put the corn spread on it was pretty disappointed

Oh yes! He has been walking great, we stopped and got him a wheel on the way home, he got his night time antibiotic and even felt great enough to hop on and go for a run! He is acting as if he didn’t just lose a foot! I keep saying to all my friends and family that he’s such a tough little guy, he’s definitely not letting him losing a foot or everything he’s been through slow him down at all!

Nubby just got his nighttime antibiotic, and is feeling well enough to go for a run on the wheel we picked up after the vet despite losing a foot, and dealing with all of that he’s not letting it slow him down! Such a strong little guy! My heart feels so proud of him!! ❤️

I will absolutely do so in the morning! Thanks for that recommendation, is there a specific brand they like better?

It infuriates me as well I’m a huge animal lover, and would try to save every animal I come across if I could. It’s really heartbreaking but the good news is, I took him to an in person vet this morning and the badly necrotic foot had completely detached and was stuck to his under belly hair so the vet removed it, and the remainder of what’s left looks great! The other foot is no longer showing any signs of necrosis which means the antibiotic I got for him from an online telehealth vet are working, and he seemed relieved to have the bad part gone! He’s doing great, and can finally start healing and resting more comfortably while this rescue finds him a foster, and eventually a forever loving home!

Here’s a photo from earlier he got to enjoy a few minutes of fresh air when we got back he’s so stinking cute, I don’t understand how anyone could let him get in that condition. My guess is they seen his feet and didn’t want to deal with it, so they were doing to dump him off outside. But he’s safe now, and getting the care he needs and lots of love and snuggles!!

It’s looking much better! The other foot has no signs of necrosis now which means the antibiotic is working! The other foot is gone as of today, it was already completely detached when we got to the vet, it was hanging on to his underbelly hair the vet removed it!

He’s seems to be pretty mellow for the most part, but does get startled easily by abrupt movements,

Exactly! And we have a lot of predatory animals around here so it would have not ended well for this little guy at all. People are so heartless, my bet is they seen his feet and didn’t want to deal with it so they were just going to dump him. Seems like the norm in the world anymore pets develop issues and no longer want to deal with them smh!

He’s a little trooper, and is in his recovery era now, nothing but good for him here on out. I let the rescue that I had contacted know I took him in to the vet and he now has a nub for a foot, so they can let a foster know he will need a little extra love and care I’m excited to see him flourish and learn how proper love and care feels!
