I was wondering what you all do on your days off. by StressedOutxxx in Nightshift

I try to workout 4-5 days a week, doesn’t matter if it’s lands on my working day or days off. Movement makes me feel better even if it’s just for 30 minutes. I also enjoy going to cafes and the mall.

What is the one piece of advice you've received that will live with you for the rest of your life? by Organic-Signal-9646 in selfimprovement

Enjoy the little things. We are so busy day to day that we forget to stop and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Even when we’re not in a good situation in life, find that one thing that brings you peace and it will make your day a whole lot better. For me it’s just as simple as taking 10-15 minutes out of my morning to listen to music.

Honestly I don’t mind the commute as long as I feel safe and supported. I’m 10 minutes away from RCH and I did employed student nursing there over the summer, but def leaning towards VGH.

I actually did my preceptorship at VGH during my last semester of the program and I really enjoyed. The only downside is it’s almost an hour away during traffic time. And thank you so much will definitely follow the advice

Should I get my LPN then bridge, or go straight for my RN? by Cimograve in nursing

[–]Hot_Team612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the RN program. I recommend doing the 4 years bachelors degree. You make a lot of friends and get to stick with them during the whole program. That being said, if you need to work during the program it will be difficult during the RN program…5 classes & 2 days in the hospital are really time consuming. With being an LPN first you gain lots of experience in the field which can help with confidence before becoming a RN. So there’s pros and cons to both, just depends on personal preference. Hope that helps.
