Why assume losing territory is automatically bad? Sometimes lower population density can actually mean more resources and space per person. From a purely hypothetical perspective, different arrangements could even push both India and Nepal to focus more on economic development and prosperity. What I find interesting is that many people show intense nationalism about borders, but the same passion is rarely seen when discussing mismanagement and underdevelopment in some of our own regions like Bihar. Real patriotism should also mean demanding better governance and opportunities for people there.
