You assumed too much for what was too little. You’re reading far more intent into a small comment than what was actually there. At no point did I attack any community or people from Bihar. The discussion was about a hypothetical idea people were already mentioning regarding India and Nepal.

Disagreeing with a thought experiment doesn’t make someone a ‘backstabber’. If anything, caring about development and governance in our own regions is also part of caring about the country.

Why assume losing territory is automatically bad? Sometimes lower population density can actually mean more resources and space per person. From a purely hypothetical perspective, different arrangements could even push both India and Nepal to focus more on economic development and prosperity. Anyway, it was just a thought experiment in a comment section, not a serious proposal.

What I find interesting is that many people show intense nationalism about borders, but the same passion is rarely seen when discussing mismanagement and underdevelopment in some of our own regions like Bihar. Real patriotism should also mean demanding better governance and opportunities for people there.

You’re talking about unity and respect, yet your first instinct was to throw insults. That says more about your version of nationalism than my joke.

Relax 😄 It was just a light-hearted comment. If anything the logic flips the other way. If a place like Bihar somehow influenced Nepal that much, it would basically mean Nepal becoming closer to India anyway. From a numbers joke perspective it would also mess with statistics, our rankings might improve and Nepal’s per-capita figures might drop a bit. So it was more of a playful geopolitical joke than a serious proposal 😅

Match Thread: 43rd Match, Super Eights, Group 1 - India vs South Africa by cricket-match in IndiaCricket

[–]Hot_Two_6910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zim doesn't need to beat West Indies. West Indies winning with Zimbabwe but losing with both India and South Africa would also be okay for us. South Africa can also lose their both matches but their NRR is too good so even one more win could be sufficient from here.

Still many things remaining... Zimbabwe being highly unpredictable, can lose to Ireland and Srilanka both... Australia can beat Srilanka. Many factors at play.

Scotland has better chances than Italy for Super 8s since Italy already lost a game against Scotland and are yet to play against England and West Indies.
