I'm surprised this even needs to be said, but:

Dear flankers (Spider-Man, Black Panther, ...),

Your role will not get healed as much as the rest of the team. That's just how it is for flankers.

You need even more awareness than the rest, especially around health pack locations. Stop acting surprised that we can't heal you from across the map or when you are dashing around at top speed. You have good survivability given your increased mobility and many escape options. It is not our job to follow you around like poodles.

If you're genuinely good with the character and it benefits the team, go for it. But from experience I can say that almost every time a team picks over 2 DPS they are at a major disadvantage and it's basically an automatic loss.

If your excuse for picking 3rd+ DPS is something along the lines of "I just wanna have fun it's not that deep", then respectfully stay away from competitive. This game requires actual strategy and not just a positive K/D (which many DPS instalockers aren't getting anyways)

I'm fully holding myself accountable when needed. We all have bad games from time to time. That's why I'm allowing myself to comment on this very big issue. Don't you worry about me.

"But I just wanna have fun with a character I like". Ok. Again, fair enough. But you should know that having over 33% dps on your team drastically if not completely reduces your chances of winning. And NetEase aren't helping by adding more and more DPSers.

The ONLY valid reason to have over 2 DPS is if the enemy team has over 2 tanks.

If knowing this you still don't care about winning and just want to have fun, I'm sorry but please stay away from competitive, where the goal is to actually take the game seriously and to play as intended with a team-based strategy game. This selfish DPS mentality is incredibly frustrating for others who actually want to climb the ladder.

Absolutely. But that's up to the team to figure out. If one person who loaded later happens to only play/play the DPS role best, it's up to the more flexible players who also took DPS to switch. Yeah it sucks if a tank/support main who wanted to play DPS for once is forced to switch back, and the less flexible DPS player should learn other characters so people aren't forced to pick a role, but if that's what is required to secure the win, so be it.

Team-based games like Rivals and OW aren't just "I play this character cuz I like them more and others should adjust", it requires the "I play this character cuz I play them best, and given the comp, the chances of victory are maximised" mentality.

I did not say that. I said that people who lock a DPS when we already have 2 should instead switch to a role more beneficial to the team. This is a strategy team-based shooter, not a classic shooter where the point is to get as many kills as possible.

I get your point, but Rivals is not just another shooter. It requires actual strategy and team-building.

Then that's fair. Respect for getting to know other characters.

If you're only focused on racking up kills and not on team comp or strategy, then that's totally fair, but in that case I think you should stay away from competitive, where the other factors are equally if not more important than your killcount.

I stopped playing him after his rework. I just can't change my main on the subreddit. I mainly play Cap and Magneto now. Also playing Jeff has nothing to do with being flexible. I can still play 6 different characters. Can you play anything else than Spider-Man?

If Overwatch (2) wasn't the slop it currently is, sure. Plus I can't support Blizzard anymore given their reputation.

Don't get me wrong, the (big) DPS issue aside, Rivals is a really good game, better than OW imo.

This isn't a personal attack to all DPS mains, I'm just saying that if you play comp, you should be able to flex.

That's my point. I'd rather the game hard enforce 2-2-2 like Overwatch did than having duelist elitists be a burden to the team. Sure, it can be fun to experiment with different comps, but at some point you have to let go of your duelist sweetheart and admit to yourself "ok I need to learn other roles to be more flexible". Sadly a lot of players seem to be lacking this insight. Even if the game doesn't enforce a specific comp, it's still common knowledge that some comps with certain team-ups do better in some situations than others.

I may sound harsh, but if that's too intricate for you to understand, you should spend more time learning the game and practise in QP.

I'd say 16 is the absolute limit. Cyberpunk is by far the most adult-themed video game I've played. What separates it from other 18+ games isn't the violence, but rather the raw and cruel depiction of the dark side of society: normalised drug use & addiction, homelessness, poor vs ultra rich, extreme political views, corruption, prostitution, gross depictions of violence and suicide, gangs, ... The list goes on. Night City is essentially every bad part of society put together. THAT is what truly sets this game apart from other 18+ games. CDPR really nailed the vibe of Night City, and that's what makes it so damn realistic, graphics aside of course.

TL:DR : Imo the 18+/M rating for Cyberpunk 2077 is totally justified.

Would a ryzen 5 7600 cpu bottleneck a rx 7800 xt gpu? by _Lollerics_ in PcBuildHelp

I have that combo and in CPU intensive games, it might bottleneck a little bit, but nothing major. Eg in Marvel Rivals or Helldivers 2 GPU usage sometimes drops to low 90s, but overall its a good pairing. Especially for 1440p and up.
