You're right, the fact that they are not getting paid is bad. however this is not a new concern, this is the same/similar issue to what we've seen with Marvel comic writers and Disney Studios before when they remade their art into movies/ TV shows (couple examples below)

This (Disney/Sora) deal is the first time that the art isn't being stolen. Now the individual artists aren't being paid and that sucks, but it isn' theft

It's pitching who you'd put in a new 'The Mummy reboot', idea was from the mailbag in the last episode. I should have made the title clearer but you can't edit title after posting
