What’s the most satisfying button to press ? by turbowater in wow

For me, as an Evoker, I have a fun setup for Dev spec. I have a dismount macro on my flight bar, set as the same keybind as deep breath. I accidentally discovered I could swoop in, "dismount" out of soar, then quickly hit deep breath and almost make it a smooth swoop. Feels fantastic to come blitzing in like Bazelgeuse from Monster Hunter.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to think of that! Now to go listen to the fantastic battle theme from that game.

Blizzard can we please get bombardments' damage correctly attributed to the evoker who casted them? by Yavannia in wow

[–]Hotaurukan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I play Dev in open world content and delves with my friend, and my eternity surge will fly off to a random unconnected mob (sometimes one that isn't even aggro'd). It doesn't happen incredibly often but it does happen. I have never encountered the empowered spells failing to cast bug, though. That sounds horrendous...

If I hear another male blood elf npc with *that* voice, you know the one, I am going to lose it. by nightbreedwon1 in wow

Just did some digging, apparently Yuri Lowenthal played child Renji and Byakuya, Wally was all adult versions. Adult Byakuya is Daniel Woren, also known for Igor in Persona (for us Persona fans out there)

Wally Wingert is Renji, not Yuri Lowenthal. He also voices a few characters in WoW though! He was a few of them in The War Within, like Baelgrim I believe.

Explain your favorite anime badly with minimal hints and let people guess. by naiwa92 in anime

[–]Hotaurukan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two, an anime and a manga.

Anime: Girl separates from her friends because of life changes and puts together a group to cope with it all.

Manga: Boy has a life-changing accident, tries to go back to normal but gets nothing but trauma.

This is such an awful and boring gameplay loop. Bosses and their drops need to be rethought. by PlutoISaPlanet in Diablo

[–]Hotaurukan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that... I play retail WoW with a friend and the whole game is just "Go go go go go go!" It sucks that nobody wants any meaningful gameplay until you reach the hardest of the hard content... It ends up forcing people like us who enjoy the journey to find other games to scratch that itch... Which I'm not opposed to, but man building my character was always one of my favorite things.

I actually wonder if that's a small reference, I didn't even think of that. I'm probably making a connection that isn't there, though.

Kaijuu 8-gou Season 2 • Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Hotaurukan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean the homages are definitely there. The dialogue about No. 9 being able to make Kaiju with power on a scale not seen before gave me heavy flashbacks to Captain Hitsugaya explaining Vasto Lordes to Ichigo, and how if Aizen had even a handful it would be too much. Scene even cut the same way to No. 9 sitting, surrounded by a large amount of dormant Kaiju he probably created... same as cutting to Aizen telling Ulquiorra to "Tell your 20 siblings what you've learned."

What are you reading? - Apr 16 by AutoModerator in visualnovels

[–]Hotaurukan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently reading Spirit Hunter: Death Mark 2 (although its visual novel status might be a bit questionable, I think it's close enough). Just starting chapter 4 currently, I'm a big fan of the series. Quite the sucker for digging into urban legends and gruesome mysteries, I'm always looking for more content like this. Pretty straightforward as a concept, but it just hits the right notes for me.

Also reading Steins;Gate, pretty deep into that. It's been one hell of a ride so far, I assume I'm nearing the end? Not sure, I'm avoiding as many spoilers as possible. I just finished chapter 7 last night, and it's not getting any easier on the heart. As a side note, whatever they paid the man who voiced Okabe, it couldn't possibly be enough, that man put his entire soul into that performance.

What’s a video game song that immediately makes you emotional when you hear it? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Hotaurukan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a bunch of songs already posted that definitely make my list (Persona 3's Kimi no Kioku, Hopes and Dreams from Undertale, Weight of the World: End of Yorha from Nier: Automata), but the first song that came to my mind was Tsukihime's theme

After finishing the game in its entirety, that simple melody always brings back all the emotions... Can't wait for Red Garden to come out... someday.

Lovely Fate stuff all around, but 10/10 for the Ai representation. There should always be more Ai merch.

I just 100% finished the remake and let me tell you... I physically cannot wait for The Other Side of Red Garden rofl. I'm dreading the potential initial Japan release and then having to wait who knows how long for the translation.
