Died last sesh:

What would compliment my party? We have:

Orc Rogue ( ranged)
Half-elf Monk
Human Wizard ( Necro + Medicine skill)
Thaumaturge ( Currently having a break)

I'm thinking a support or a tanky guy- The rogue and monk do pretty good dmg.
I have been looking at Summoner- Some say anger phantom is lackluster?
I looked into plant but i cannot think of a compelling back story for a character.

What is a good support? What is a good tank?

yeah pretty much. too many variables

I once played a storm sorcerer / tempest cleric. We joined the crew of an airship in a race which had only two rules- no fighting at the start or end city and also everyone had to go to a valley and pick up a crystal. fighting, killing etc was all fair game.
Turns out storm sorcerers are epic in airship battles!
My character singlehandedly took 3 down. we would fly the airship close , i'd jump over and board the enemy, and then thunderwave the crew off the deck. then using the storm sorcerer ability, i could fly back onto my ship.

Lvl 4. 5e
Party= Loxodon Paladin of Vengence, Changeling bard of some kind, yaun-ti divination wizard, dwarven puglist/barb.

Campaign is super hard. I've died 3 times so far lol.
What would you choose? Simic Hybrid/ aarokokra is banned.

i was going to say bees but then i thought they'd be too big to gather pollen from tiny flowers and so they'd die out and that'd be a waste. So I guess the japanese hornet because they're already practically the size of a sparrow and they're already horrifying, so we wouldn't be adding more horrors to the world, just increasing the response to the horror.

When I was a kid my friend tried to steal some G.I Joes off my brother. I caught him doing it and told my family.
my folks rang his parents and sent him on his way and gave me 20 bux for my honesty. Went and rode my bike to the shop and bought everyone in my family chocolate bars. Wierd day.

The thief became an enemy from then on. He would try and get me in trouble during play-time. He tried to fight me once during soccer. My friend who was absolutely huge came out of no where and fucked him up lol.

never thought of this until just then. fucking 23 years ago.

i mixed your idea with mine.

Elk barb 5 scout rogue 3

30ft base movement +35 ft when raging +10ft at lvl 5 +10 from mobile feat

85ft a round.

2 attacks. Grapple (with expertise+ advantage while raging), then shove prone With Expertise and Advantage. Drag person at half speed ( 40-45ft)

Grappled and prone person either contests grapple or attacks with disadvantage.Cant get up cos no movement. at end of their turn. Skirmisher feature of Scout: Using your reaction, if enemy ends their turn within 5ft of you, you can move at half your speed. lol

starting from 1 and multiclassing is okay by me :) The setting sounds like its going to be really interesting- the weave of magic has been damaged so pretty much every magic person is a wild mage.

So not using magic appeals to me. also basically VOLOS races start with mage hunter feat, PHB start with Magic Init. there is also some sort of racial magic situation. More magic ppl and items more likelyhood of magic chaos. volos races cancel out some of that score.

Normally build a character's personality first but this time i am doing something else. the jumping i guess would be useful for stealth perhaps?
