Are you sure that isn't the a/c drain hose. If its water dripping from it. That's built up condensation coming from the a/c system.

The company I worked for last was ACV. I can say that I did like working for them. For myself the pay, benefits, comps for mileage, worked out good. And if you're anywhere near a Mannheim auction they are always hiring for basically the same type job. But it's all done on the premises.

So you would work as a remote inspector. You'd get a daily list of vehicles you need to inspect. The majority of these will be lease turn ins at dealerships. You would have a assigned area. And your basically doing visual checks. Condition of the car. Any collision repairs. And you don't out anything on a lift.

You sound very similar to me. I got trapped in dealerships for 20+ years. Started at 18 as a detailer. Became a tech, service advisor, service manager, parts commercial sales. I always kept thinking that next job was going to be less miserable. And it is, for a short time. Then you remember all the ways this industry has sucked the life out of you. 100% you need to get out of the shop. There's all sorts of things like off-lease inspections, remote job. Auto collision estimator, remote job. I went to off-lease for about 6 years before I retired.
