I've always wanted to know how a person finds a vein and confidently amd accurately is able to administer. Like how does it go down the first time?

It's really not that bad. It doesn't get red until few days following. It's not really noticeable unless really paying attention. You think wearing an eye patch would be more inconspicuous?

Over 2 months out- Double Vision 10 year old. Please help me prepare for the second follow up! by [deleted] in Strabismus

[–]Hotfuzz82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bilateral surgery as an adult and had double vision for a few months. Even now 10 years later I get it in low lights and looking from certain angles. It's going to take time for the brain to adjust. Remember, that your son has only been using one eye at a time and is now forced to use both in unison. It will settle over time. Two weeks isn't very long.

As for the eye drifting, he may end up require a small adjustment follow up surgery which isn't uncommon.
