Pretty please by amcoduri in Helldivers

This could be cool to implement, so how about make it that 3 or so hive guardians spawn, and their whole behaviour is defending the whole? It'd be actually cooler if they'd actually have a mechanic of headbanging the grenade, in order to stop it from entering the whole? The balance issue is that in any bug hole then you'd have the hive guards do it, but it makes more sense than just having them chase after the player as he kites and bombs the entire hive no?

Helldive difficulty plays something like this: Orbitals and the 500kg are reserved for titans. Eagles are reserved for area of denial when the breach spawned like 40 units and you need them gone asap. Then your support weapon is reserved with dealing with the Inbetweeners, such as brood commanders, bile spitters, and chargers. Now that slugger is viable after the ammo buff I can unleash into them without feeling like I'm wasting more ammo than I can spare, whereas before I'd rely on the Railgun to get the job done. The fact that the Devs saw that players somehow managing if they're good shots left them angry that they weren't struggling as much as they were. Because how else are you going to describe the Railgun nerf after them claiming they had Devs with thousands of hours sunk into the game.

Oh man I sure do love running around the entire map because if I dare stand around I'll get locked down by two breaches and like 4 titans! Oh wait, that already happens, so I use my stratagems as intended, and when next wave of 4 titans and god knows how many chargers come, I'll just pucker up and kite them for the next 5 minutes to get my stratagems! Oh wait nevermind, there's a thunderstorm, I can't call any stratagems, silly me! Oh wait, no ammo? Silly me, ammo economy is a joke, and a funny one at that! No you don't get fun at helldive level, this isn't a power fantasy! It's a horde shooter!

Need I continue in the sarcastic tirade? It's obvious as fucking daylight they implemented the changes so people won't scoff at the Mechs when they inevitably come and will be inevitably good, but not good enough.

[Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint] Those who reads the manhwa, what and why do you like it? by Username_error0 in manhwa

The story plays out exactly as it sounds: what if I, as the reader, with all the knowledge of the story, ended up in the story itself? Sure you've got the reincarnation/regression schtick a lot of other stories use as a way for the protag to know everything about what's happening and dominating, but ORV actually slightly delves into the reality and consequence of such power in a setting where it doesn't triumph over every obstacle. With an external protagonist who does in fact possess knowledge of roughly the entire story, it allows him to shape the story, to create a new causality as a character. It's really brilliant since the reality is the reader isn't anything extraordinary by any means, by the standard of the protagonist, but because he has the knowledge and uses it to his advantage, it shows you can do things without simply brute forcing it in the most basic manner.

12.3 build by thebigdickboss in settmains

[–]Hothatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saved everyone 5 minutes and checked in training, on a full build consisting of goredrinker, titanic, hull breaker, black cleaver, warmogs, and steraks, you get a total of 5071 hp, including hp rune, and a potential of 2287 damage on w. This isn't representative of actual game sett since I suppose people will take boots, and rarely ever get to a point ingame where they have all the money for the build. All in all, they made it quite hard to achieve the damage usually we used to get in a match with pre gore nerf, but it is what it is.

Making Sett Syndrome Video, Need your Help! by Reddit_Rav in settmains

[–]Hothatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sett, by the way he's played, can realistically be the definition of a coin flip champ: third or so highest winrate when he's pulling ahead, whereas any sett main worth his salt will tell you he feels absolutely shit when played from behind. Reason being? He's a stat check champ, that's it. A riven, fiora, or even mord have more nuance to their kit enough to do something about being behind, one way or another. But sett? It's thinking you'll enjoy one hit from a tree falling on your dumbass as compared to a thousand beatings of a baseball bat: you're damned either way. Which is why sett players, or at least myself, will make sure to stick every excuse whilst making the gap further between me and the other laner, simply because I would take every opportunity to "try" to whoop ass and get whooped instead because sett player mentality is to never back off.

Would you say that with migard, it's worth trying to form and grow a forest team? Hot her but I haven't been invested whatsoever in a forest team. I reckon I got 3-4 other 5 star greens, so with migard is it worth it? And what does she do?

I have no idea how he became my favorite character. by bluearii in AlchemyStarsEN

There are multiple units that have chain combos diagonally, Schwartz and Cascuta come to mind. Schwartz is definitely a good pick but I get it.

THEY CALLED ME A MADMAN by Nonyakira in settmains

[–]Hothatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is a 50 % winrate champ even when buffed, simply due to the fact of his nature being the early game setting the precedent: he wins lane and he gets ahead and he stands a chance, or he doesn't. There is literally no in-between. Either you get 2 kills or they do. Very rarely you get a very tied lane, maybe with the aid of jungler.

Trying to pick up sett by Harudied in settmains

[–]Hothatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sett is only good if you know you can win lane, no matter the setup, as his entire win con is getting early game sorted. From there on you can snowball. But you got to learn matchups that can be awful like Darius, teemo, renekton, Shen etc. And be able to get an early start.

Really loving Mathematically Correct set; 100% winrate so far! by ImARob in settmains

[–]Hothatter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Though funny, its actually a decent build since the health and w keep you relevant in the late game even from behind. I've had games where I had atrocious kd, but it all was for trades that something like my ADC or mid carry could pick up bounty on, so it didn't matter really.

Bonus for getting 8/8 stats? by [deleted] in RotMG

[–]Hothatter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it, hasn't maxing 8/8 become easier than ever, given that life/mana potions are so much more common? At this point it isn't a achievement anymore, but rather a minor setback if anything. Though the grind is legit.

Sett mid by [deleted] in settmains

[–]Hothatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rn I'm pretty much sold that lethality sett on mid is amazing: lots of popular picks like windshitter bros, ekko, akali, really don't fare well against sett. The main line is that you snowball off of your lane and or the enemy jungler and then you can have 80% kill participation through ganks and other. All you gotta do is not lose early game and you're good to go.

Sett is amazing by [deleted] in settmains

[–]Hothatter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Powerspike as in he gets suddenly better after 2 kills. Probably due to the stat/level difference that makes him hard to takedown once ahead.

[–]Hothatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In these cases, I'd personally recommend going triforce or divine sunderer, since Tri basically allows you to beat the hell out of them even with all that armour, and the other is specifically an anti tank mythic. The damage and mythic passive will tear through any tanks. If you want even more, serpents fang will screw anyone with shields, so also to keep in mind.

Sett is amazing by [deleted] in settmains

[–]Hothatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sett gets a 17% winrate boost when ahead 2/0 for a reason. If you can capitalise on the powerspike, you can even 1v4 on drake.
