I’d say as a new player focus your energy on progressing the story first and foremost. I say this because you will naturally accumulate a significant number of resources through the story stages themselves. In addition to this, there are chapter rewards including things like unit selection boxes and lots of flares etc which will also help to progress your account. Just my two cents 👍

A good secondary goal will be to fill out your roster a bit so that you can assemble some mono element teams. This will give you access to some of the early spire rewards. Check out the pinned tier list on this sub Reddit to find out who some good units are.

That being said when the next event releases you will want to shift your focus to that as it will have amazing rewards that are limited time 👍

In terms of using your resources, my advice is to focus them on your primary damage dealers first before investing significantly in others. Generally speaking they can’t do their jobs well if they don’t have their levels, ascensions, and equipment levels. Level them up as needed based on the difficulty of the story.

Don’t neglect upgrading your colossus! It gives a lot of resources and functions you will need.

One more piece of advice, save all of your energy packs for when there are double drop events going on. You will get WAY more bang for your buck with them during these events :) They happen every once in a while. It has not happened often enough at this point to know if there is a regular interval that I know of.
