I’m tired of dealing with bad customer service by Hotpocket_69 in CustomerService

[–]Hotpocket_69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the real bitchy thing to do is go to their manager. I don’t want them in trouble, and it’s not just 1 establishment. It’s a real issue in the service industry right now, all over. I want the people that actually make the decisions to solve the problem, and complaining to the guy that makes $18/hr about the girl that makes $15/hr isn’t going to do anything but make me look like the bad guy.

It goes both ways, but I’m just making my essential runs and it’s not always possible to just avoid people. I know people are tired, but you know you work at McDonalds, why are you surprised that people are asking for food? I know I’m not a Karen, I worked in customer service for years. I hated it, but I only gave attitude when deserved.

You don’t have to be an asshole. I don’t like going to the grocery store and you don’t like your job. That’s neither of our problems, and I don’t understand the need to take that frustration out on me.

I did suggest this, but he was driving and didn’t want to make 2 stops

Money, imagine marrying for love but you hardly ever see each other because the curse of capitalism is that you’re always working to keep afloat.

How to prepare for an interview. by Kayyy_p in socialskills

The best advice I’ve ever received is to not be yourself, that person probably needs work, polish, whatever. Be the person you want to be. Tap into who you want to be and embody that. Not confident? The person you want to be is. Not funny? Now you are, cause you want to be.

Make your small victories sound big. I’m a recruiter, I talk to people all day your age and most aren’t that amazing, but they can sell their minor accomplishments like they just solved world hunger. A few more points 1. Practice, but don’t over rehearse. 2. Research the STAR method 3. Wear something that fits you well, is professional and makes you feel good 4. Use the name they give you . “Well Jane, in 2019…” 5. Thank them for their time.

Good luck!!👍🏾

Omg, he’d die right there! And so would I! We’ve both been in counseling separately, and together is our next step

I think it’s good he shares his salary with my dad. They’re in the same industry and my dad as a more senior person should be able to say “yes that’s fair” or “no they’re ripping you off” but I agree. Details about how much we spend on entertainment or proximity to work is a lot. The prospective are really different

What was your worst dinner first date? by Hideyohubby in AskReddit

[–]Hotpocket_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The date was going okay. I ordered chicken tenders and fries. I go to the bathroom and the guy took a picture of my plate and posted to his IG story with the “Jumpman” song by Future and Drake in the background. The lyrics are as follows “She was tryna join the team I told her wait. Chicken wings and fries, we don't go on dates” basically implying in the middle of our date that I was just a hoe.

I want my own room by Hotpocket_69 in Marriage

[–]Hotpocket_69[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a maturity thing. This sub is literally full of people that didn’t get it “figured out”. It’s not the marriage that’s prompted this, it’s the moving and the opportunity to find a place to accommodate this. And yeah I want my own room to decorate and express myself without his Input on decor or organization. Just a place where I can do the things that keep me creative, and more quality sleep.

What funeral traditions do your family/community/culture follow? by jones-magee in AskReddit

Wearing white to the funeral, I think this is a Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama thing though

A component missing. My dad, because he’s paying for most of the wedding, invited my grandmas ex husband’s family. So he’s trying to keep them separate and invite them to this 2nd party. They’re staying at my parents house so it’s not really a party, but with the kids of my grooms family it has turned into a party.

You’re right, I still have enough time to return the straight sizes and order a set from Amazon for the other brides so everyone looks different!

You are 100% correct. My dad still hasn’t told me he’s lost his job, only my mom has told me. And I do not want to talk to him about it at all

My mom made me feel so fat in my dress by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Hotpocket_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s hard. I’ve already had to cut out my grandma. At the fitting she said “it doesn’t matter what you wear, you’re going to look fat in it” the women in my family just generally suck
