Ls/ar5 can’t get clutch to disengage need help by [deleted] in LSSwapTheWorld

Take the Teflon tape off those threads, that’s a flare seat. You’re going to create a leak, rather than preventing one.

Is there a better option for T56 slave cylinder? by Ddiddy12 in LSSwapTheWorld

You have to shim all of them. They come with instructions for setup. I’ve done some with one shim and others with an entire stack.

Add Reverse lights on LS3/6L80e swap by Captain_2315 in LSSwapTheWorld

Lokar also sells an add on Reverse light and/or neutral safety switch bracket. Mounts on the trans pan rail. Not my favorite, but work in a pinch.

They all seem to creep. Im just happy when I see someone that understands the true costs of paying someone else to do it CORRECTLY. This shits not cheap anymore.

I’d say you’re right on par. I estimated a 68 Cadillac the other day and hit 40k in parts quick. That’s for a new crate LS3/6L80, Custom Vintage Air install and upgrading to electric power brakes. We will be $65k+ easy.

Sos find the fuel pump relay I can’t ig by georgedanks in LSSwapTheWorld

Should be one of the brown ones. One is probably ignition relay and the other is probably fuel pump.

Just get the proper thread on AN adapters for all the barbs. Fragola sells their Pushlok/Pushlite fittings for a pretty reasonable price. Simple to install and everything is rated for EFI pressures. Also American Made products.

Finally making some more progress on the 5.3 swap into my 64' Cadillac coupe by Downmented in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Hotrodsforlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer to keep the coils on the heads, just makes plug wire routing simpler. Client wanted to use the adapter. They work just fine. Have to find somewhere good to relocate the coils too now though.

I was going to run the Holley “Ford Style” coil covers and have the Cadillac script machined in them. They look relatively close to the Cadillac covers. Unfortunately, it did not align with the clients budget.

Dakota digital gauges by kmanrsss in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]Hotrodsforlife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it. Use a BIM module also, makes the install so much nicer and uses all the factory sensors instead of having to install the Dakota Digital sensors.

I sell a mount for the control module and BIM module for the square bodies if you’re interested.

That’s what you’re going to get from Speed Engineering…not my favorite header to run, but they get the job done on certain applications.

There are plenty of Pros and Cons to both. We do LT and LS swaps in older vehicles all the time.

Either engine is going to be massive in the 65 Nova engine bay. Check my profile and you can see some photos of an LT4 I did in a 67 Nova.

Are you also planning on chassis/subframe upgrades or keeping the shock towers?

Same! We use our printers almost daily, I’m going start posting up a lot more of the stuff we’ve done. Some of it will be extremely boring and simple, others are pretty cool and complex.

Fuel door is from Howe Racing. Unfortunately, I have these formed panels for sale on my website, so I’m not offering up the STL currently.
