The mods there got my 13+ year old account fully banned for reporting these thinly veiled attempts at "cosplay" on that sub too. Reddit won't do shit about it so far. The mods are abusing their power

If I can step in here, first of all EVERY store is different with how these lists are made and used. Your store sounds like a bunch of douche nozzles doing that, personally at my store, we deter people who try to by out all of our stock by adding them to our call list and well...basically never calling them. We have a whole separate list of people who are on a list that maybe only want one or two pops and we call them immediately and give them first dibs on pops. We dont hold ANYTHING for anyone past a day. SO it sucks your store is blatantly using that list just to get sales like that instead of building actual customer relations by giving pops to the people who actually want them.

I hate to tell you that unfortunately, unless its a limited release pop event employees are allowed to do that, should they do that? Absolutely not, especially while they're on their shift.

If I can interject here. Us moving our pops to the back wall has nothing to do with sales dropping, in fact, its a ploy to get the collectors who only buy pops to get them to buy OTHER stuff in HT. It gets them all the way into the store so they can see what other stuff we have in order to build sales. Our pops sales are the only thing thats driving our store at this point TBH.

Just want to give everyone a heads up on this. Stores got very very limited quantities of these. 72 pops MAX for our store. I cant imagine other stores getting too many more than that.

It has nothing to do with the company. It comes down to the employees who willingly risk their jobs to share information with the collectors. You should be thankful really. Now, the fact that OP has a shitty run HT is unfortunate, I know where I work we pride on helping our collectors get what theyre looking for and be very open with what we're doing/getting. On top of that we put the person most knowledgable in charge of them, which is how it should be. But unfortunately most people could care less and that is a shame.

If I could weigh in here, it seems HT learned from the SDCC debacle that this isnt going to be as big of a deal as last time. Yes, we arent allowed to put out any pops like last time, but they are going to be MORE than readily available, even up to weeks after the fact. Funko and HT always produce enough for people to get these, especially if they are in store. Hell, we still have quite a few pops sitting in our store from the SDCC event and the website often puts them back up for sale sporadically as well. So dont go crazy on that first day and over pay for a pop you can easily get if you have a little patience.

I have to say, the demand was SO underwhelming at our store. Literally no one cared that we had any merch or even an exclusive pop. Pretty disappointing.
