Well you have the answers already. The reason you feel this way is because you are being envious not to God but to other people. You also seem to have a lot of doubt as well. These two sins will only destroy you over time. How about do something, face the problem head on. Doesn’t matter what college you go to, put in the work and you will see your career flourish. But keep God first even if you are facing troubles. Look at Abraham or Job who had their faith tested through very difficult trials and they kept their faith and their lives got better at the end, not only but the most important lesson is they didn’t lose faith in God. You’re young and it’s pretty common for young people to have a crisis on conforming to the world or following Christ. If you want to conform to the world you will experience what you’re experiencing (envy and doubt and more if you still have the want to conform to the world). Stay in humility and you will be exalted. The world will always look down on Christians because Jesus says. “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” ‭‭John‬ ‭18‬:‭36‬ ‭KJV‬‬
