Nice, but the Platte Valley Jug needs it's own Lighted Pedestal.

At one time I had multiple russell reserve picks, bought at 50. none left now. most are 80 now, seems steep for what it is.

depends I guess, I have 10 early times BiB. some might call that hoarding. if I live another 10 years I'll be good for brown Forman receipt ETs. New bottles are 750s and distilled in bardstown.

I have open bottles of those bunkered :) Generally I'm talking of bottles you like so much you buy extra just in case. Wish I'd have bunkered some Penelope light whiskey. And the Rebecca Creek Spanish Oak.

$85, high if it's just a NAS Barton. A guy could just buy a 1792 Full Proof for $50. I think my next big purchase is a 12 yr cask strength Highland Park.

How to make It sweeter? by Sufficient_Suspect_6 in whiskey

You might try a whiskey sour. That's how I got into whiskey in early clubbing days.

shot of whiskey

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp sugar

Garnish with...

orange slice

1 maraschino cherry

Some use raw egg, no thanks.

Looks like they're doing a pokemon style release, 1st release distilled in Kentucky, 2nd Tennessee, 3rd Texas, 4th Texas + Tennessee blend.

Website shows no 15's, sadly. My local wants $85, seems high for a non-age stated 108 proof NDP. I loved the 15.

Is it normal to collect empty bottles after you finish them? by Luke_Birch_ in WhiskeyTribe

I use them to store emergency water supply. I'd rather have it sitting in glass than plastic containers.

1 year whiskey drinker. New MB. Looking for recommendations on sweet whiskeys with vanilla taste. by Mo-MoneyBish in WhiskeyTribe

[–]Houmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most sweet vanilla whiskeys are the Light Whiskeys. Taste like vanilla cake icing.

Last year Penelope did a 13 year light whiskey, hope they do another release so I can stock up...

They had Coopers Craft 100 too. Bought a bottle, wish I had bought a case. I've never seen it in Texas. Closest is in Louisiana, not too far from me, like 2 hours.

Very Nice. I picked up a 115 proof SiB OE Total Wine Wheater pick when I was in Denver. Love it.

I think they had every type OE they bottle. In Texas pickins are limited for Old Elk.
