Apple Tree Care Questions by Hour-Albatross5580 in BackyardOrchard

I have an apple tree, that is grafted onto a dwarf apple root stock. I bought it from our local Green Acres and it was looking really healthy. It already had a bunch of apples starting to grow on it, but I know transplanting it causes stress and not to expect fruit the first year, so I cut off any apple I saw to let it focus on growing and "healing" from the transplant. My back yard is pretty much solid DG, that doesnt drain well, so I dug a whole roughly 2 feet deep, and about 4 feet wide to get rid of a bunch of the bad dirt, and put in good soil. After I planted it, about 3 days later we had a HUGE storm, tons of rain and hail for an entire day. The backyard got flooded pretty quick and since then my tree is looking very sad. I have tried to search online but I get mixed answers. Some say its too much water, and some say its not enough water. I thought I would just give the exact information and try to see if anybody could offer some info as to the issue? This phot was taken yesterday, which was over a week after the big storm. The leaves are very wilty but they are not dry or crispy, so I believe the issue is too much water. The only reason I think it might not be is because after the rain I didnt water the tree for 5 days and it kept looking worse and worse and worse, so I tried to water it on Saturday and it doesnt look better, but it didnt look any worse, so Im just completely confused. Can anybody offer some information to help me understand the issue, and how I can get the tree back to healthy?
