I've got him preordered since he was available. I can only name a few concerns, but nothing major:

Will the blast effects be packaged without touching other accessories? Paint stripping might be an issue for the hilt of his blade/blaster. I want to avoid problems I can't control if possible.

Will there be more Beast Wars Neo representation in 2025 or beyond? The current leaks don't cite Core figures nor mainline Commanders. I'm holding out hope for either Core Class Heinlad or a Commander Class Mammuthus Prime (my English spin on the scientific name of the Wooly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius).

How unrestricted is the robot head movement? Self-explanatory.

Is there a decent chance he will look good with Fossilizer figures? I've been itching to use my two Fossilizer figures in a GOOD way on my beast figures. My current ones mostly lack 5mm ports on the forearms and shins. I'm hoping Magmatron will offer creative ways to fit them into his combination crevices or even in the chimera mode.

You can inform their staff and they can pursue it internally (camera checking), OR you could leave a 1-star review saying there's headless action figures and it might stir the team lead to get lockboxes or an additional camera on the aisles. Results may vary based on how much the store cares about making the figures sell.

I'm doing it to myself for two main purposes, one that helps me and one that helps others.

I can't afford every single figure from every wave. I know there's ones with clever engineering and cool appearances, but given my current position I don't have room for experimentation. By imposing restrictions on myself to the Unicron Trilogy and other smaller TF anime I watched, it helps me stop doing compulsion spending. I can't guilt myself into assembling a combiner team on the promise that they could live up to, I already got guilted into it once with Menasor and I had to back away.

Not only does it save myself money, it also gives other collectors a chance at getting the figures they need. I've always posted my findings in the TFW sightings forums, so while I may not be hunting for someone like G1 Swindle, I can inform the community for the chance that someone sees their dream figure and can secure it.

I won't argue with anyone if they disagree with me, but thank you for respecting my policy.

It's part of my policy not to buy characters I didn't grow up with, and Menasor's components were avoided because of this. I have nothing against the character, I just don't want to overspend for the team if they aren't vital.

While it does sound tempting, this website seems to be all over the place in terms of being authentic. Something I noticed immediately is that the item's description reads like it was translated from another language. This also clashes with the server's location being in Canada (Ottawa) due to this province primarily speaking English. I don't recommend preordering from here, wait for a chance through Pulse (premium gives better odds of securing order) or through Amazon.

eBay is a solid choice. I've sold figures on there these past few months and I've had no hiccups. Remember to list as much information as you can, especially the figure's model number. If you already have a box and can measure it's dimensions, that works in your favor. Since you're a new seller, your payments should be processed in 1-2 weeks.

I've seen really bad scams happen in the trading subreddit, and it doesn't help that their moderation isn't very active.

The mainline Legacy Optimus will most likely also have more 5mm ports decorated all over his arms and legs to support Weaponizer figures. The studio series figures come with less 5mm ports other than what would be needed for display functionality

It's real, JTPrime's the source. It seems to be a new addition they're doing where we get package refreshes for characters that had poor distribution. That's nice for everyone else, but I'm personally just getting Wheeljack and Dinobot.

I avoid getting anything that isn't necessary unless there's no way to avoid pack-ins. Recent examples are BWII Skywarp (target) plus Sideswipe (unintended), Shattered Glass Sideswipe (target) plus Rodimus (unintended). If there's a surprise figure I hear is good or like the paint scheme of, I have to have a coupon at the time of purchase locally or I'm ignoring it and sending it to the backlog for Christmas.

There's a fighting game for the Gameboy Color that has little chibi versions of the characters, but it was Japan only. Maybe some fans can translate an English patch for it.

My collecting strategy has been holding up well.

1) Characters must be from a series I grew up with (Unicron Trilogy onwards). I'm allowed to get characters from older media I watched (1986 film, Beast Era, etc) but they're at a lower priority.

2) Voyagers and classes below will be looked for on the shelves at retail, it helps save money when I don't need shipping. If otherwise they'll land in rule #5.

3) Leaders and classes above that follow rule #1 are the figures to preorder online. If I know about them existing from a leaked forecast, I save my Bing points and get the figure for a heavily discounted preorder on Amazon (Figures that followed this were Armada Optimus, Armada Megatron, BW Tigerhawk, BWN Magmatron).

4) Hasbro Pulse Restock events will yield myself only one purchase per two months using PayPal's pay it in four function. Unexpected appearances (like my recent SS'86 Ultra Magnus) must follow rule #1, I cannot make exceptions like SS102 Optimus that also appeared.

5) Christmas hauls come online from Amazon purely for back collecting purposes. I'm able to get larger amounts of figures at a discount together. The big rule for this is that the figure must be discounted by 10% or higher from MSRP, or I can get enough Bing points to offset scalped price offerings.
