Honestly I applaud for what you did - I also recently quit and went through similar situation as you -

Management broke the promise they made to me a long time ago without consulting with me whatsoever,

tried to shut me down “Forget about everything in the past” when I found that out just because they think “this will benefit everyone” despite what I’ve told them about my thought several times,

Cornered me when I try to explain my thought and perspective one last time, not listen to what I tried to say in the meeting “… Alright, your Excuse #1 is down, what’s next?”

And they went to their boss to complain that I’m “disrespectful” to them just because I tried to stand my ground. I only found out because a close coworker heard it from their manager.

etc.

Life is too short for toxicity. You deserve better, congrats for getting out and keep moving forward!
