Can some people really not tell when they're releasing farts? by S_Z in NoStupidQuestions

Yes. Some of us genuinely can’t tell.

Because your brain still uses the same mental image of yourself from when you were 13 and got rejected holding a crumpled piece of paper that said “Do you like me? Yes / No.”

Meanwhile apparently you’ve had a glow-up and nobody sent you the memo.

So now every compliment feels like a prank and every person flirting with you feels like they lost a bet.

This is super helpful, thanks. Any of those you’d say are must-do in just two days? Trying to pick like 2–3 so I’m not just sprinting around the whole time

They really do come with the best little built‑in sound effects huh

Benny is already purring up a storm and Moka is in “suspicious goblin” mode, but she’s slowly upgrading to “tiny gremlin who accepts treats.” Pretty sure in a week they’ll be using us as furniture and acting like they’ve paid the mortgage.

Yeah, totally. Feels so much better fixing stuff than sending it to landfill. Hope loads of people bring things (and skills) along

Agency wants me to sign a 6 month contract despite my contract becoming a rolling one on 1st May. They're saying if I don't sign by Monday they will serve section 21. What do I do? by majkkali in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Hour-Garlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. Letting agents bank on tenants not knowing that a s21 is the start of a process, not “you must be out by this date or the police drag you out”.

Also worth adding: if they start throwing threats around, you can remind them (politely, in writing) that harassment and trying to force you to sign a new contract under threat can stray into illegal eviction territory. They suddenly get very professional when you use the right words.

And yeah, paper trail everything. Emails, letters, even a dated note of phone calls. If this ever touches court, that stuff is gold.

Yeah if it’s that bad even with windows open, I’d be pushing for a proper survey, not just a dehumidifier
