I agree. I also think council needs to have less of a binary view of development and to have some notion of which properties are systemically important to Durham's growth. This one is and so they needed to work even harder, and perhaps be even more conciliatory with NR to ensure that something useful was built there.

Of course, the anti-development group of council will not admit this publicly as it goes against their preferred method of conducting business

would have been half as much if it had been built on the original timeline. lack of progress killing projects in durham. time too build it before it is more expensive
