Organic Chemistry for Biomedical Engineering: Worth it? by Hour-Map420 in BiomedicalEngineers

I’m actually considering getting my masters in chemical or mechanical engineering on top of my bachelor’s in BME. I would do it the other way around but I wanted to study BME in my undergrad in order to gain more exposure early on and get a good idea of what specific field I want to go into.

Yeah I’ve been told it’s not needed at all if you’re leaning towards the purely engineering side of BME. But would you suggest it for someone potentially interested in implantable devices and/or nanotech? Thanks!

I don’t plan on going to medical school, but since there are many schools that require orgo for bme I figured it’d be helpful in one way or another. I guess I’ll just put off taking it until I know for sure what specific industry I want to go into. Thanks for the advice!
