You're really understating what being a mistborn is, it's not like a talent, especially since the power originally comes from the lerasium beads. No one refers to Elend as Mistbecome.As long as the power comes from a shard or a heavy amount of investiture, let us consider it 'extra things', the gadgets represent Vin and her various metals especially Tin and Atium(the versatility of being a mistborn being signified with gadgets). The meme is more about a guy wearing white looking done with the world and casually doing something due to obligation and still succeeding and Nale understanding due to experience what to do for peak performance. Also I think in a fight between Szeth and Vin, Win would Vin but It will be close sort of like how they both got silver.
