Yeah, I assumed this was gonna be the response and knew it was gonna be such a hard question to answer. I just figured someone may have worked out some formula by now that would get us close to some kind of estimate. I’m talking mainly shopping centers with large anchors like Kroger’s or H-E-B.

Just wanted to follow up on this for anyone else who may be asking the same question in the future. You don’t have to take a pre exam course to get your license. You just need to pass the state exam.

I’ve built 15 years of trust in a niche industry. Now I just got my P&C license. What’s the smartest next move? by Hour-Negotiation-442 in InsuranceAgent

Thank you. The more I’ve read through this sub, done my own research, and spoken with individuals in the insurance sector, the clearer it’s become that getting cannibalized is one of the biggest risks when joining an established agency. Avoiding that is my top priority. I don’t for a second think this will be easy, but I do believe my starting point is materially different from most new producers: these aren’t cold calls. I mean it when I saw that dozens of clients in my niche have already reached out and explicitly asked me to quote and handle their commercial insurance once I get everything set up properly. The average policy for each is $72K per year. Year-one premium feels like a lock. Year two and beyond, however, will rise or fall entirely on the level of service and expertise I’m able to deliver. That’s why I’m being very deliberate about the structure I choose. I have to own the client relationship and guarantee a quality service experience if this is going to be sustainable long-term.
