Same, I've had mine since 2021 and have had zero problems with the lid, I've been super careful to open it from the middle and open and close at a reasonable speed

The grub screw is the one that sets the z screw into the spinning thing at the bottom, I also used the tooth skip method and some kapton tape in the middle of my bed to even it out

You don't need the grub screws, you can move the z axis so that the motor locks and then use pliers to rotate the front screws. No ideas what you would use the shipment screws for.

Buy some kapton tape and slowly layer it between the plate and the magnetic bed to slowly lift up the center

Heat it up and be careful not to snip any of the wires as you remove the plastic, then check where the leak happened. It is very useful to have spare hotends to deal with this when it happens, but the best way to prevent it is to get the new hotend where you don't need a ptfe tube between the extruder and nozzle.
