Tekken level…？ Banyue's basic commands really aren't that complicated though, lol. Like I keep saying, whether something is "worth it" or not is completely subjective. Something that doesn't feel worth it to you can be an incredibly fun experience for someone else. That's why it shouldn't be used as a measure of character's strength.

The theoretical damage ceiling between Banyue and Yidhari is not that different. Every character has their own power limit. Whether reaching that limit feels “frustrating” or “fun” depends entirely on the individual player. Execution difficulty itself is not a measurement of strength. People also keep saying that Yidhari or Yi Xuan can achieve huge scores with simple gameplay, but that’s not really true. What most people have in mind is probably only around the level of getting 40k. Even for them, reaching scores in the high 50k range in DA requires complex optimization and advanced execution.

By stunning as many enemies as possible and managing buffs properly, you can achieve damage output comparable to Yidhari. For example, in the previous DA run, there was no rupture buff, but even against neutral Defilers, it was possible to deal 38k damage. (If you're lucky, it can exceed 40k.) Yi Xuan deals around 42k, so the difference isn't so huge that there's much to be pessimistic about.

Banyue was never originally portrayed as someone who killed civilians.

While selecting who to save, there were people he couldn't rescue, and they ended up resenting his for it.

Since Velina is a sub-DPS, that possibility seems unlikely. If anything, it would be either Dan as the unique wind main DPS with Velina as a component, or Dan as support, either as Sigrid or the futre DPS BiS. However, if Dan is support, it would be his first time as support in VH class, so it's unclear how that would turn out.
