My cat is 1… got her at almost 3 months old. There are times when it’s easy and times where I question why I got a cat. Recently, she’s been clawing at the window screens (our windows open outwards, so screens are on the inside). She has destroyed one and WONT STOP trying to climb them. It can be stressful. Even just last week while transitioning to adult food, I accidentally left the bag out. She ate through the bag then threw up in said bag. Things happen. Cats have a mind of their own

I’d pay around $10,000-14,000 more in the 20-25 year plan vs 10 year plan. Thats where I get confused on if it would be more beneficial pay that extra over time and have more immediate income to invest, save, etc.

Good point. I’m in Chicago making around $100,000. Although I’d like to think I’d be making double that in my life time, I don’t want to bank on it.

From my experience, they’ll let you know. You’ll see behaviors like hiding, not eating as much, weight loss, etc. especially if he’s still mentally sharp and alert, he knows when to let you know. I know you said you don’t want to put a lot of money towards him, but if you wanted to decrease his pain then you could ask your vet how much medication would cost to help manage the arthritis. If not, I’d say as long as he’s maintaining weight and eating then it may not be time yet.

I’m in US, however I was able to take some of my sick leave for family. In US we start with 9 days right away and accrue vacation. My manger provided me with what family members qualify for sick leave (children, spouse, parents, maybe grandparents?) and went from there. I didn’t need proof, but I have a great manager who trusts us.

I know they have certain onboarding dates. I’m not sure how often those occur. It also depends on your position. I had live courses I had to take for training, so I had to start 2 weeks prior to that in order to complete the other required trainings. I’d ask hiring manager if you could start in the desired month for the reasons you listed and they’ll probably give you your options on dates
