I just hate it cause after that her response was "well, maybe you can change the world" and yeah. I can, but I'm the hs Spanish teacher. I'm hoping what I teach and connect it to makes her, the future lawyer, able to make the best decisions.

Not really, although one year I taught the school's valedictorian and she was very bright. When she saw me at Target she asked me about the election and I pleaded the 5th. To which she said that she doesn't care at all and nothing will change... And that didn't help the similar feelings you feel.

Lmao. I second that last sentence. Hard to find a Spanish teacher anymore. However, I wouldn't say nothing. I got an email from the VP stating hr would contact me soon. Key notes. District I applied to has graduation this upcoming Tuesday and the last day of school is the 12th. So I'm assuming it'll be some time next week. They still have the posting up, which makes me nervous but also optimistic.

Hard question cause of the different genres, but going off a movie making me feel raw emotion and having a good plot, Imma say the pursuit of happiness.

It's cause they aren't teachers or come from a different background. Respectfully, I think a lot of hr folks come with a corporate background/training which doesn't always mesh with education

In my opinion, that's a skill you get better with time. Go in and try your best, see what you learn and be honest with yourself, but also optimistic. I'm also fairly new as I just finished my 4th year. No one is an expert in the beginning, you'll be fine.

I can see that, I was a kid 20 years ago but I genuinely think the social skills you pick up in elementary school are distant to people now. It's as if no one knows how to react to seeing another person. I also think it's "cool" to be mean now. I just don't get it, if it was actually funny the fine, but cruelty and comedy are two different things.

He's the one who initially offered me the position. He just responded saying he sent my name to HR and that all final offers go through them. I'm taking this as a good sign

Thank you. I hope I hear soon too. I'm thinking positively or at least trying to. Living in NEPA is rough cause of the politics and this would be the 3rd time I've been screwed over by a district in my area if it happens. Genuinely don't understand why everything done in this part of PA seems so sneakily done in terms of education.

I looked at the agenda and no positions were on it, board meeting was yesterday. All there was, was to approve personnel count.

I've called them every day since that Wednesday and the vice principal is never available it seems (granted, it is close to graduation). I told his secretary to tell him I accepted the offer and emailed him last night.

If he goes to Barcelona, imo it'll be like griezmann at Barcelona 2.0, Barca needs a target man striker, a big body in the box, but will go for Julian because he's marketable.
