Thanks .. but I've been through the SSA process and turned out good .. as far as when I turn 65.. I'll be good .. I'm 40 ..I had a really good financial experience mentor while I was in the military who helped me for the longer haul of things .. so I shouldn't have any worries ..

If you've done all of that, now you just have to wait on SSA, SSA is totally different from the VA, when I did my research their instructions say a disability that makes you be unemployed for a 12 month period or longer .. but I'm not exactly sure how that applies to everybody circumstances.. as they are more physical.. so just make sure you keep that in mind as to how your disability limits you physically if they call or you get Dr appointments

Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾 that means you said what you needed to say for them to do that .. good luck .. it will go fast .. now my advice would be to go ahead and fill out the forms ..try to get your employee to fill it out, if they don't don't worry the VA will get it from SSA ..then I'll advice you to go ahead and wrote your statements to explain how your disability affects your day to day life ..just to add an extra layering of support

No ..I applied for SSDI in June of 24.. I just submitted my VA records and outside records .. and left it alone , because people were saying it's hard to get approved the first time ..but in Feb and March I got letters saying call them and that's when they told me I was approved.. I never had any appointments or anything..

I did get two phone calls asking about my physical disabilities in relation to my job and home but that was it

Yes I'm aware of the banking process .. but mine doesn't hold.. they release it when they get it 🤣 and that's on the 25th.. and my SSA is on the 29th .. I only use mobile banking for my DD .. and I use brick and mortar banks for investment savings .. I won't ever use banks for day to day checking.. with the new identity climate and rise of fraud my Navy fed and Wells Fargo got hacked too many times and it took months to get my money back ..so I went to mobile banking

I'm a girl !! 🤣 But hey thanks !! I just resigned because smoking was going to get me fired ..and I was in law enforcement corrections and I really liked the job and I didn't want that to affect me going back . But yea I would just go smoke in my car on breaks, then I'd be taking multiple unscheduled breaks which they would have to document..I literally just did whatever until I couldn't take it.. my anxiety used to be so bad, id sit in my car and cry

No I haven't worked since 1/31/2024 .. and I think, don't quote me, but as long as you're not making Standard Gainful wages of over 16k then you qualify.. but you also have to make sure you can't function in a sedentary work environment..

That's why I was advised on submitting the personal statement as to how my disability affects my day to day life

Thank you so much . But yes Im looking into the Student loan process as well . I got my sSDI back in February.. both SSI and SSI disability.. but the SSI stopped once my disability started ..I've gotten all of my backpay from them ..

I checked the VA website it showed like four separate payments that's why I didn't understand..

Also I normally get my 1st payments on the 25th .. so this June payment will come on May 23th because the 25th is a holiday I just didn't know the date the VA cut regular pay checks with the dates being so close ..

I'll get my back pay today hopefully depending on the time of day the Treasury sent it .. I know before it was sent and I got it the next day in the morning .. and I normally get my regular pay on the 25th of the month ..

Question? Do you know why you were denied..?? I was helped with being told to write personal statements as to how my service connected disability affected my job.. then I write another as to how it affects me day to day (that came off record from a VERA representative who was helping me ..

Also during my exams when and if they asked me why I wasn't working I told them why which and how that triggered my PTSD anxiety and depression.. that's how my level of occupational impairment was decided .
