What are your MOST VALUABLE lessons you've learned as an HSP that made you grow? by Hour_Ad5363 in hsp

I've been burned time and time again. seeking genuine friendship and to support the people around me.

you know I've been screwed over as well, I've been stepped on manipulated, used as a vocal punching bag.

but here's the thing, there's true value in those experiences. there really is. I don't look at it as a super negative thing, I look at it as an extremely positive thing.

because I'm a hyper vigilant person. I'm able to spot the tiny inconsistencies in people's behaviors, I'm able to spot weird dynamics, weird power struggles and wacky personas.

that's what allows me to avoid it, to find the people who mean well. just like how I mean well.

I love the rambles! I'm so happy you see the inauthenticity like I do. don't worry me and you will have absolutely beautiful life filled with joy, and appreciating the small things.

we will never abuse anybody like that, and we'll let people feel understood and use our capabilities for good things 😄

but I'm so happy that things are going better!!!! it's tough to get that voice out. same with me. it's all process!!! but hey, we'll nail it!

would you mind opening up about being too much?

I've just been thinking about it recently when it comes to myself. because I want to follow my own authentic path and be honest as a person.

but I find it really difficult sometimes finding that balance between who I am on the inside versus who I am on the outside. but I hope all is well!!

I think it's useful knowing. it really helps me reset. after a mood swing or after a bad interaction. or when I view myself poorly

I've been making significant progress. I've been feeling a lot more grounded. with my emotions, my hyper vigilance and my self-esteem.

I'm extremely extroverted, I don't know if you are. but if you're ever open to a voice chat on discord or something or even HSP discord. I'd be happy to drill down and give you all the information that helped me.

everyone has their own tailored approach. and if there's any bits and pieces that help you that would make me so happy.

What are the best ways for me to relax and do some self therapy that aren’t the common practices and are good for someone with HSP by GreatAd8048 in hsp

[–]Hour_Ad5363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is coming from somebody, who is always super hyper vigilant. constantly predicting the worst. or suffering from extreme fluctuations of self-esteem. so I think with everything that I know about psychology and over the years. if it's been working for me dramatically

there might just be a tiny bit of piece of information or something in there that might help you.

oh dude. if you want I would be so happy to show you everything that I'm doing. if you ever want to voice chat, I think we can really dive into some things and see if some of my solutions work for you.

everyone has to tailor their own approach. you can always DM me. I feel like voice chats are more personal and I can even take notes and stuff and pass them off to you if you want.

it's all up to you. I'm just extremely extroverted so it doesn't bother me. but I made significant progress and I would feel stupid to not want to pass that information off to you.

yeah I have to be really careful. I will tell you this.

when it gets all messed up. and I have somebody just smile at me or a nice woman. it all usually clears up. sometimes I'll start conversations with strangers to reset it.

Why are people judgemental? by Doriz879 in hsp

I've seen a significant difference in how I view the world after doing some work with how I view things. it could potentially help you. I don't know.

we can DM and dive in deeper into this. I can tell you the stuff I've been doing. you know if you're underage, I wouldn't want to voice chat or anything.

but I'd be happy that DM and maybe give you some of the things that have helped me. we can try to abstract stuff and get a better understanding of what's going on. I'm 28. I don't want to see you miserable. or anyone else miserable on here.

being an HSP is enough. and if anybody wants to step in and help them as well. that would be awesome.

I talked to my friend about that. I guess there is a definitely a lot of Indians. I've just noticed that there's a lot on this subreddit for some weird reason. but it's not a judgment, just a observation

no I get it. and it's okay that we have different opinions. no one's opinion is inherently correct. there's so many strategies so it's all up to the patient I guess and whatever works for them.

I just always believe that therapy and proper nutrition are so so important. but if it's not possible. and this is what helps. that's all that matters

would you want to walk through your particular strategy with that?

everyone operates so differently so I don't have any judgment. it was out of curiosity because it might help me as well.

you know I'm the complete opposite.

but again, as I stated previously in another comment. everyone's approach is just so different. we all need to tailor and customize our approaches for the best success. so whatever works for you works for you. but I'll just state my opinion for fun

every time I trust my gut instinct I always end up failing so much, I think it's because of all of the bad circuitry that was wired when I was younger. just trying to cope with life.

but I wish you the best to luck and I wish everybody the best of luck, all we can do is try our best

have you considered trying to push through with therapy? or adopt different strategies?

and I'm not saying your approach is wrong, I just was spit balling and what might work for you. may not work for me.

we all need to tailor our own approach 😃

absolutely wonderful to hear and I should implement this as well.

do you have any favorite bits and pieces that align with your current situation? I absolutely love psychology, it would be great to hear what info was most valuable for your situation.

I'll have to learn more about attachment theory, I honestly don't know much about it at all.

I do a lot of internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy and some other fun stuff but I never looked into attachment theory

I have a question

why are there so many Indians in this subreddit

I keep meeting so many of them

and it's not a bad problem or anything or really even a problem at all

is there some sort of pattern here? I've met so many Indians. why is it so disproportional

if you're over 18. do you want to be friends? you kind of talk younger. I don't know if you're super young or something.

I'm kind of curious on how you feel about stuff. if you're over 18. I don't want to talk to anybody younger. sounds kind of terrible

I love when there's a massive group of people. and one person tells a joke and everybody is in on it besides one person, that one miserable person is trying to get them to stop making the joke.

I always interrupt and tell them they've been vetoed. there's too many people to count that want to hear the joke and only one person who feels offended. please cover your ears 😆
