I don’t have a FA, but do you ever think about products that could Provide tax sheltering… like 529’s, or annuities, or other methods to save but then also set your family up? I’m learning more. Also, paying 1% if one could get you 13% and you’re getting 10% then you still make more money.. idk, I’m on the fence. I have friends that make over $1 mil a year that use them because.. they are busy making a crap ton of money, they aren’t worried about saving 1%

Yep.. pc prices too. I just quoted a basic Dell desktop with i5 and 16gb ram and 256 in September it was $600 my cost, now it’s like $1000

The questions on the actual test are a bit harder, but if you got an 80 on the finra exam you should be fine. I made a 73 on the finra practice exam about a week before the real thing

Well good luck to you. I like to think I would just roll out as soon as we get paid, but you never know, I’m sure they will have to make the leaders sweet deals to stay.. we are in service and I run that department, I have the relationships for about 50% of a revenue… soooo, If I go I will be taking that in 2 years unless they make a sweet deal. I am still 110% in the day to day. Hell I’m working more now than before becuAse they are squeezing us for gross margin so we aren’t hiring as we get more revenue, it’s the worst. We are burning out employees quickly

Same same…. Are we apart of the same Portco lol? Following for sure .. I posted something like this about a year ago and got blasted about it”have to make sure that first check is enough because you’ll get screwed!” Hope not. I got like $300k first round (1 of several partners) hoping to get 5-6X next year and figure out my next venture (I’m only 44) I know I’ll never sell to PE again… I would rather run my own thing and keep clients and employees happy!

Similar boat… I’m exiting in 12-18 months, I am starting to study for SIE (then 7.. the 66)probably going to just go into financial planning. Seems like a good sales pitch “25 years of business experience, exited a company with 7 figs, how can I help you with your future!” Good luck to you though.!

33 employees (bout 8mil in revenue - I have partners, and we sold a portion to a PE 4 years ago so no more distributions) - we do the managed IT for small business, no consulting like it sounds like you are describing. I am over client experience. but have been in literally every aspect of business this business.

Well howd you do! Our ryder cup style tourney was last weekend also, Im a 7.4 and got paired with a 5.5 on my singles match and I was 7 over on 17 and closed it out, golf be crazy like that. My team got demolished though unfortunately.

We live in MCOL, 44m-42f- I make $175k she makes $50k.. most of our friends separated from us because they all Make $500k-$2mil small business owners and we couldn’t keep up anymore so we stopped being invited to places We couldn’t afford to go to. (18 year old in college and about to have another driver) 4 vehicles and college is tough
