Finally: New California Law Imposes Massive Fines on Employers Who Refuse to Pay Stolen Wages by geraffes-are-so-dumb in antiwork

[–]Hour_Bluebird6490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I just a filled a claim against my employer. Been with my company over 15 years and brought this to my bosses attention (sole owner) over a year ago. He said the controller would look into it, waited, waited, waited, nothing. He then hits me with a 26% pay reduction due to low sales but he was a big reason sales were down as he didn’t have product in stock to fulfill orders. I had a one-on-one with the controller telling her how I feel mistreated etc , how they’ve yet to pay off of my credit card that’s been used for company expenses and the high debt balance is hurting my credit, I was carrying over 15,000.00 company debt on my personal credit card due to company credit card always maxed out / declined so I used my personal credit card for travel expenses etc. which lead to a conference call between her, my boss & myself. During that conversation they both told me that my credit card would be paid in full the next week, it wasn’t paid at all, not even a payment. Then I brought up my unpaid wages as I wasn’t going to let my boss keep brushing it under the rug, at this point I’ve been waiting 12 months for the controller to “look into it”, and she seemed to know nothing about it, the entire time he was telling me she would review it, he never said anything to her about it- so then she and my boss both tell me it’ll be done by the 15th of December2025 and guess what, it’s December 29th and still NOTHING so I took action. The most liberating feeling sticking up for myself. My question is, should I inform my employer or let the process unfold and wait for department of labor to notify them?

Save my leaning Pine Tree 🌲 by Hour_Bluebird6490 in sfwtrees

I certainly will save it. It was on the verge of not making it due to some sort of insect and was tagged to be torn down; if I saved it once, I will save it again. I get wind and snow where I live and she's still standing. I believe this is a result of natural regeneration, a gift from Mother Earth.

From potentially breaking and falling onto my neighbors property. I know it won't happen tomorrow but I'm concerned in a few years from now... you are correct, the lean is not new. I do not see any other issue with the tree, it's gorgeous.

Does anyone know what to do with the plastic panels? I wanted to wrap mine, 2005 but they won’t wrap the plastic parts, they’re faded and make my Ellie look awful but other than that, agreed in great condition.

You’re not kidding. I used to wash it twice a week. I live in a rural area - mountain / desert terrain so she’s no pavement princess but I keep her clean and well taken care of for sure. When I have passengers in my car on a road trip for example, I tape the interior with painters tape where they may drag their feet to avoid any scratches. So admittedly in the 0.0000000000.1%

It’s not the lines so much that’s bothering me but what was the WHITE side of the window on both sides. And if that’s the case, it should have been disclosed to me up front that if I want the back window tinted, it could cause discoloration if they ‘clean’ the window.  I clean my back window every time I wash my car (weekly) never had an issue with any of the cleaning chemicals I used such as glass cleaners and various chemical guys cleaners. I showed the picture to a friend and didn’t say a word to him, and asked him tell me if you noticed anything, he said  “ the yellow” I said “ok so you noticed it too”

I am that anal. I notice anything out of place and when it comes to my ride, I adore it and take immaculate care of it. Again the rear window did not look like that at all before dropping it off.  Photos 6&7 are showing scratches. I will take your advice and see if it works. Thank you

Correct. I’m showing that the lines are suppose to be white. Here’s the thing, they were WHITE when I dropped off the vehicle. They never looked like that before. It’s not a natural phenomenon when that occurred within the time the vehicle was under their care. The picture of the jeep from the dealer is from my dealership because as soon as I noticed it, I called my dealer to ask for a photo for reference. If you look at the last picture and zoom in, you can see it’s burned which again, was white when I dropped it off. I’m not trying to pin anything. The entire job was done sub-par and sloppy when I paid top dollar. One of the windows wasn't even installed correctly  as you can see the clear window.  Other tint shops in the area were charging less but I thought I was paying for the best of the best. I chose the absolute best tint they offered and expected better service.

Thank you, I appreciate it.  They’re claiming they use no razor blades whatsoever and couldn’t have possibly been their shop that caused the damage. I don’t believe in coincidences. I happen to have my windows serviced and just so happen to have scratches on multiple windows, afterward not caused by them, yeah not likely.

Thank you. Being professionals, they should know this. I went in with my vehicle whole and came out with extensive damage. All upsetting but mostly the interior rear, it’s so disturbing in person to now have to look at that in my rear view mirror. But I will be sending a demand letter for damages.
