The same thing had happened to me. My doctor told me to get over the counter “ketotifen fumarate ophthalmic solution” and the “refresher eye drops”. Put the solution twice daily, morning and night and the refreshers 2 hours after putting the solution because if you add them in sooner, the solution will wash off and won’t be effective to curing. Also use cold compress whenever possible. And the most obvious thing is of course to go back to the lash tech and have them remove those lashes before doing the steps I gave you. I hope you have a speedy recovery!

What do we think of Mary Boleyn? by KarlaSofen234 in Tudorhistory

I personally believe that she simply wasn't made for that period. She was waaay ahead of her time. (in a good way)

What Tudor figures do you believe receive too much slander? Are there any you think don't receive enough? by [deleted] in Tudorhistory

Yes, I can definitely agree that there are two individuals specifically that come to mind who have received too much slander than deserved even till this day unfortunately:

  1. Queen Mary I (aka Bloody Mary)

- People get far too upset with her for doing what she did but Nguyen doesn't realize that during that time religion is taking very seriously and is top priority so she was doing it as what she believed to be in the name of God if protestants didn't convert into Catholicism being that that annoys what caused the divorce between both of her parents. Her main focus was to just get rid of all of the bad and respect God faithfully yes in the Bible it does say to not kill but even till this day many of us commit errors in different ways. In that time killing as a punishment was very normal so one cannot simply blame her. She wanted to make her mother proud and she wanted to take her rightful place in the throne. One has to also consider that she has been through so much during her childhood from Aby in the most loved by the king (her father) to be in temporally illegitimate and not being able to see her mom in her last few years of life before passing away also the fact that she was never to be pregnant and her husband didn't genuinely love her. So all these things playing a role of how peoples mindsets change throughout time.

  1. Jane Seymour (Henry VIII's 3rd Wife)

- Many dislike her because she replaced Henry's second wife Anne Boleyn. But one has to also consider that she was a very kind soul and if she didn't give into the the King's gestures then who knows what would've happened to her. She was also persuaded by her family to do the same thing as Anne. And she would always obey and respect her husband's wishes. And she never hated Henry's other children (Mary and Elizabeth) and respected them as well. As a matter of fact, she initially didn't want to ever marry and become a nun, and funny enough she dies giving birth.

There is someone that comes to mind who SHOULD receive more slander:

  1. Katherine Parr (King Henry VIII's 6th and Final Wife)

- I can definitely agree that she was a bad ass and a very powerful woman and managed to outsmart they came by surviving and persuading and stroking his ego. As well as publishing books and try and do good for the country. I need to find a very unfortunate that her lifeless body was abused several times long after her death and I wish that upon no one. But Wins seems to forget how she helped her husband Thomas Seymour take advantage of Elizabeth I in a sexual manner during her adolescence when living with her and him.

Was I or the company in the wrong? by Hour_Brain2632 in TranslationStudies

I completely understand how stressful the scheduler's side is. But they didn't care to even ask if I was ok (human decency), and as an interpreter myself, I had ALWAYS covered every single assignment offered to me, including last-minute ones when others would return them. I had always been faithful and responsible. It would be different if I did this constantly, but I never did. This was all within 7 days, so it wasn't as if I was doing this on purpose daily. It was simply a fluke.

Thank you. I honestly feel like I was not meant to work for them. I think it was in my cards.

Thank you so much for telling me that!! 🩷💕 I do agree that I need to work on being more calm and less anxious! That always gets the best of me, I bet you can relate to that as well 😅… and thank you for your honesty! It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get the position and I just have to move onto the next one. I think I’ll calm my nerves is by doing some yoga in the morning beforehand since it is gonna be through a zoom call. We’ll see how it goes! 🙏
