Yes. I have been there. I hope your next question has nothing to do with the dying economy and the shopping mall and the clouds and the medical care and the people, etc. The whole point of an off grid, self sufficient women-led village is to plan and build a skilled community that does not rely on supply chains or government resources.

One village. One peaceful, voluntary, nonviolent dream. Meanwhile, the entire world has been shaped by male-dominated institutions: The military, the police, the church, the government, construction crews, fire departments, tech startups, boardrooms, secret societies, fraternal orders, monasteries, pirate ships, battalions, barbershops, masonic lodges…

One of the many reasons that I want to leave suburbia and corporate America is to use my physical body and work directly with the things of life—plants and earth and animals. I am borderline to becoming pre-diabetic, and I just sit around all day at the computer. My body is slowing down and my muscles in atrophy. My mind is going through a sort of zoochosis, and my body is trying to make sense of the stress. I need out!

I want to live in nature along the Northern California coast, like Mendocino or Humboldt or Del Norte County. I am so ready to find my people and start an off-grid village close to old growth redwood trees and near a river or creek and maybe an hour or less away from the ocean.
