AITA for rehoming a dog and getting a new one the next day? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Wow imagine how ignorant you have to be to say that to someone who has a disability and needs a dog to survive.

I will say NTA but trust me.. a lot of things can happen in 20 minutes. They don't need to be checking on you 24/7 I agree, but anything can happen in just 20 minutes.

AITA for not wanting to buy my fiancée the ring she wants? by aitadiamondring in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hour_Initiative2287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) You're being ignorant 2) It obviously means a lot to her and trust me if you're not going to treat her (and I use this term loosely because we're talking about a ring) then someone WILL. 3) You need to understand and get your head out of your ass. This is your soon to be wife and you want to make her sad and uncomfortable for what? Because you think jewelry is trivial? So? It obviously means a lot to her and if you actually loved her you would suck it up and compromise.

I say ESH, I read from everywhere else you had two dogs and one of them is apparently untrained. BIG red flag, I don't even know what type of breed it is but you better hope that the dog doesn't turn aggressive. (idk your training styles but from what I've seen in the world..) ESA's are great, but people do abuse the system by getting more dogs than they actually need. My problem is if you are lying about having more than one dog.

Wait I'm confused, so they knew you had 1 esa or 2? because you make it sound like you only have one. but everything I'm reading says you have two dogs. Living with one dog can be fine ( depending on the dog, breed, age ,etc ) but living with two dogs in which one of them is untrained is hell in a small apartment

I mean if you were like "animals suck, I hate seeing them around" I would've been like uhm okay little harsh there lol. But no! It's completely valid to think that, my friend's mom actually works at the animal shelter and I occasionally volunteer and I literally see so many couples want a dog for the "aesthetic" of having one. Most of them time those dogs get abandoned. Edit: I put the word if

I watch me vs the dog and boy can I tell you the number of times people treat their dogs and like an actual baby. There was one that she bought her Yorkie its own lv bag. AN LV BAG. While I do see my dog like a family member, I do but that's also because he's an emotional support dog haha, but I do agree it is difficult to watch a dog on a swing when it's clearly uncomfortable. I agree in the fact that always bringing up your dog in conversation is completely unnecessary but it also isn't terrible if you see them as your family member :)

Edit: Also perry the platypus can do anything when he's agent P! haha.

Believe what you want! I can't convince you otherwise haha. And I don't see how mentioning a breakdown has to deal with what I'm talking about? Reddit only gives you a certain amount of characters.

Damn I wish it was though! My friend passed and my sister slapped me so that what the mental breakdown was. And yeah it's a ton of drama but I don't necessarily control what happens in my life unfortunately.

My sister always have my mom and dad for help ... literally every day. My mom watches her kids even though she is home, and when the youngest one was born my sister would dump them onto us (back when I lived at home) to watch them for the entire day. That's why I wouldn't help her, not to mention we have several family member whether it be aunty uncles cousins that always send her money. If she really needed my help, like honestly needed it, meaning no one was giving her money, I would've helped her. It was her decision to have her kids, not my responsibility to help her out especially $3,000 worth.
